Natural shampoo and conditioner that rinse out well but still moisturising without heaviness??

Do such products exist?
I'm currently using the Jason range and don't think I like enough to repurchase once finished as my hair doesn't feel very clean and just isn't going right.
Need something that isn't going to make my scalp itchy and flaky that's why I'm leaning more towards a natural one.

Faith in Nature are very good. Rinse out cleanly and lots of flavours. The conditioners are also excellent, very light but softening.

I just bought the Jason shampoo and conditioner and am really unimpressed. I used Faith in Nature before that and will be going back to it when I'm finished with this crap

Indecisivejo · 11/11/2015 12:46

Where can I get faith in nature?

Faith in Nature, Yes To, Palmers (Superdrug or black beauty shops for bricks and mortar stores, Superdrug or FeelUnique for online). I use Palmers coconut range and it's lovely, but I have a dry scalp. It is very moisturising. I use the shampoo and the hair milk as a leave in conditioner, just a small fingernail-sized blob through damp hair.

Ok just seen it in Holland and Barratt, not impressed with the ammonium laureth sulfate though as this is meant to be even worse than sls

I like the MooGoo range - all natural, no parabens or Sls, they've been amazing for my scalp, and my hair feels in good condition too.

HopefulAnxiety · 11/11/2015 12:52

Indecisive Faith in Nature is sold in health food shops, TK Maxx usually, and online.

misscph1973 · 11/11/2015 13:00

Ocado and Oxfam also carry faith in Nature. I leave my Faith in nature conditioner in (just a little), it doesn't make my hair greasy or heavy.

HopefulAnxiety · 11/11/2015 13:01

Also tbh just try stuff out - SLS and ALS are perfectly safe, reacting to one may not mean reacting to the other.

Also dead sea shampoo is supposed to be great for troublesome scalps - the Dead Sea Magik stuff and the Boots range in navy packaging.

SweetAdeline · 11/11/2015 13:05

I like Aveda because it doesn't trigger my eczema but it does actually clean my hair.

Before you give up on what you've got though, have you tried shampooing twice? I've found that's solved the issue with this problem in the past (and would probably still work out better value than Aveda).

Branleuse · 11/11/2015 13:05

I use faith in nature as im sensitive to SLS and it doesnt irritate me. I use the neem one. It rinses well.

Also dr organic is good

HoggleHoggle · 11/11/2015 13:06

What about Neal's yard? I think it's all natural. I use the rose shampoo and then the conditioner every few days and am really happy with it. Moisturising without being at all heavy.

Indecisivejo · 11/11/2015 13:10

Ok maybe I will try faith in nature and see.
I always shampoo twice :)
Yes to and palmers were awful for my hair, as were dr organic :(
Aveda too expensive unfortunately

Dr Organic, I find, uses a lot of essential oils that irritate my scalp more than SLS does. But YMMV, it's just a case of trial and error.

HopefulAnxiety · 11/11/2015 13:13

OP maybe try the dead sea stuff then. Also, are you sure that it is SLS and not persistent dandruff/another scalp condition?

sparechange · 11/11/2015 13:15

Pure Nuff Stuff!

Their products are amazing, and a lot cheaper than Aveda et al
They'll even make up custom orders for you, if you have a specific issue. Their baby set is my default present for new mums as well - love this company!

I have found all SLS free shampoos I've tried have left my scalp itchy and flaky. I guess sulfates just suit some folk.

rubybleu · 11/11/2015 13:31

I've been using Green People quinoa shampoo the last 2 weeks and am really impressed. My hair is swishy and shiny. Previously I used Aveda, Kerastase and Pureology.

Unfortunately it's not cheap, but I've discovered that laureth/lauryl sulphate was the cause of the redness and flakiness spreading down my forehead and cheeks over the last few minutes months so it's cheap relative to trying to treat that.

IamTheWhoreofBabylon · 11/11/2015 13:36

I don't like faith in nature. It feels very harsh
Suma I like better but my favourite is organic colour systems. I buy it from my hairdresser but it can be bought online

maybemyrtle · 11/11/2015 13:43

Depends on what your definition of natural is, but the L'Oreal Ever Riche stuff works well for me (no SLS or silicones). Feels largely like normal stuff and always on offer somewhere. I think it's been rebranded since I bought mine so do check the labels. For me - Faith in Nature stuff irritates me, Neals Yard didn't lather at all and didn't feel like it was getting my hair clean, Aveda ok but neither amazing nor cheap!

rubybleu · 11/11/2015 13:57

More correctly, my problem is with foaming agents/surfectants - so far I am ok with cocodomyl betaine but I definitely didn't get along with the ammonia lauryl sulphate that Aveda uses.

Indecisivejo · 11/11/2015 14:10

I'm coming to conclusion my scalp/hair doesn't like natural either!
Didn't like green people
Tried the Dead Sea stuff was crap lol
I loved the loreal one in green tube but after while it ruined my scalp
