Knee high boots for larger calves

Dug out my black boots yesterday only to find as ive been doing much more exercise since last autumn/winter that my calves are much more muscley and now they dont do up! Gutted!

Anyone seen any nice black boots for wider calves?

Duo Boots used to be my favourite, they have rebranded to 'Ted and Muffy' or something else truly silly and I have not bought from them since.
Worth a look? Not cheap, but was always excellent quality.

I bought some from Jilsen recently and couldn't be any more pleased with them. They are brilliant quality and half the price of Duo boots. Jilsen are a Dutch company but the boots only took a 3 days to arrive.

I am large of calf (and leg in general) and really want some riding boots for winter.

Trouble is, the bigger fitting boots I have found so far aren't really age appropriate. I'm only 22 so Hotter looks a bit wrong.

I have them in brown and they're so comfy. I have short but wide legs (so attractive) so usually struggle to get boots to fit, but these are fine. They zip up the side, have an elastic panel at the other side and zip fastening partway at the back if you need it. They're less than £30 at the moment as there's a sale on. I am tempted to get myself another pair to keep for next year as I don't think they'll last more than one winter.

I got a nice pair in debenhams a couple of years back; they had a stretchy panel at the back to accommodate various calf widths.

I've just looked at Jilsen - they look fab and don't have a stoopid name and pretentious ads. I may well become a customer of theirs v soon, so thank you for the tip, Palomb

Simply be do lots of calf fittings and are well priced. I have a couple of pairs form them and they look great. They have a good size guide on their site too. I find my calls are just a bit to big for standard boots so I get the curvy calf size

I got an new pair from next a couple of weeks ago, they are like rider boots and came in wide and extra wide .

Got a pair from m&s - stretchy back panel pull on ones and they fit surprisingly well.

Duo boots used to be good, but the price increase this season - since the rebranding - is absolutely insane. I don't know what they're playing at. They were always expensive, but you could save up and there was an outlet store and so on. It's a real shame, as I haven't found any of these other ones wide enough - though there are a couple of new names here that I've not tried, so will look into those as well.

Basically most plus size specialists do wider boots. I find evans do the nicest one that tend to be reasonably priced and quite trendy.
Simply be have a wide range of calf widths and again are reasonably priced.

Had similar to these from Asda last year, still in good nick after regular wear. They fit around my chunky calves ok, and £15 off at the moment

Oh a forgot about those asda ones. I to have similar from 2 years ago and theyre still looking fab.

I had the asda ones last year and they fitted well. I probably could have got another year out of them leather wise but I'm very heavy on the outside of my heels so they had worn down a lot.

Pacific I hope you find some you like. I got some Lida ones and they are ally comfortable even though they are quite high. I'm hankering after some flat ones next :)

In case anyone is still looking for large calf-width boots, the Duo site (Ted and Miffy or whatever the stupid name is now) is having a big discount until Monday, with 40% off full-price boots. Given how much they've gone up since they rebranded, that's about the only way I'll buy them!! The ones I ordered are back-ordered, so I won't know for a few weeks how the quality compares with the old Duo brand - some of the reviews I read were not entirely favourable, but we'll see. I'm still hopeful, as there aren't many places I can get ones with calf sizes to fit.
