I bought one today, wasn't really in the market for one but I couldn't leave it. Vince Camuto via TK Maxx - RRP £280 cost me £99.

It's water resistant, duck down filled, navy, bum covering and the most enormous, furry, fur lined hood. I'm in love.

I've decided I can't justify yet another winter coat but I've totally just ordered the leopard print boots.

Missymoomoo197936 · 26/10/2015 14:55

Not a coat but my husband got me these yesterday and I love them www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-boots/tan-tartan-print-quilted-cuff-lace-up-ankle-boots-_334755218

Crosbybeach

I love that coat!

The colour is incredible. Do you know if the sizes generous or on the smaller side?

Thinking of ordering it online...

Crosbybeach · 26/10/2015 15:20

It's 20% off at the mo. I'm a pear-y size 14 and it's fine with a normal jumper underneath - a little snug across the bum when done up - but nothing to worry about.

It's is press stud fastening - which I quite like but the reviewer on the page obviously didn't. I don't think the fabric looks cheap either which was her other comment.

The colour is fab, got compliments the first time of wearing it today.

Crosbybeach · 26/10/2015 15:21

That was aimed at trouble above!

MrsBertMacklin · 26/10/2015 15:27

I've got 3 coats this month, two are more Autumn than Winter but chuffed with them all, especially my bargain leopard coat from

Vero Moda

Also got a parka from Barbour (investment for standing on building sites 2 days a week and park walks)

And a cocoon coat from M&S which is brilliant for work with everything I already own (but seriously needs something to fasten it at the front)

Just want a nice navy wool coat now and I'm set.

herecomesthsun · 26/10/2015 18:02

There is a nice navy, wrap, wool, Jaeger coat, reduced IIRC from £399 to £249 and then is £149 today in the outlet, I linked to it on the black coat thread today.

Greengardenpixie · 26/10/2015 18:50

My coat. Bought in the sale last year and i haven't worn it yet!

herecomesthesun Thank you so much, just found a lovely peacoat reduced from £350 to £160 (and Jaeger Outlet is on Top Cashback).

mrslebon · 26/10/2015 21:10

Excellent work @MrsAukerman - hope you love the leopard boots as much as I do!

I got this
I love it

Birdsgottafly · 26/10/2015 22:59

I don't have need for a long wool coat, so got these in the Landsend sale, with the extra 25% off, they worked out at £41 each, down from £140.

Oooh, I love a coat thread!

I already have:

Brown leather mint velvet biker jacket (ebay bargain £50 Smile)
Black longish Boden puffer for when it's really cold
Navy blue Monsoon duffle (going off this, may ebay)
Black trespass raincoat (not v stylish but practical)

What I would really like is a shorter coat/jacket that's stylish/smartish and light for wearing when the weathers mild like now. Any ideas?

Stevie77 · 27/10/2015 10:51

Not bought yet but am planning on buying this parka from Tesco of all places: www.clothingattesco.com/womens-coats+jackets/f+f-faux-fur-trim-hooded-parka/invt/bt522147?

Looks really nice with the gold-toned hardware.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 27/10/2015 11:35

Ooh love all the coats on here! Keep seeing some amazing ones but at 5'3" and size 8/10 all the ones I love need me to be taller Sad

Has anyone got the Hush Michelle coat? It looks like it could be okay for a petite frame and is the style I'm after but I think it could be a bit thin maybe? That said, I'm a sahm (autocorrect wanted to put 'sham', it'd be correct) and live close to school so if the weather was horrendous I'd wear my über gorgeous Hmm waterproof for the school run, and I have a wool duffle coat that does the trick on super cold days. Would like something for the interim bit-nippy-one-minute-then-undoing-your-coat weather, that would let me feel a bit more stylish than usual. I'm going through a rut at the moment for various difficult reasons and I'm fed up feeling so meh. I think the camel colour would suit me.

carrie74 · 27/10/2015 11:38

No new coats for me this year, as have my Aigle Cuckmere duvet coat for proper cold weather:

An old grey Zara number with pleather sleeves: www.pinterest.com/pin/360358407656516718/

And H bought me this reversible one last year:

However, my eyes do keep being magnetically attracted to this coat which looks so amazing in RL:

Already have a sub zero north face parka thingy for proper winter but like guy need a more autumnal transition jacket, been thinking about the above anorak, tried it on and fits very well ( I am 5ft and a smidge) best of all the fur bit is detachable - opinions???

cashewnutty · 27/10/2015 19:25

this is my new coat. It is lovely and soft, not too thick and looks great on.

mrslebon · 28/10/2015 17:46

oh and if anyone is after a navy coatigan, then I can recommend this Zara one: www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/outerwear/view-all/wool-coat-c733882p3023098.html

Really lovely feel to it. I ordered the navy funnel neck coatigan from Boden to compare and the Zara one won. Think I'll get the burgundy too.

CoconutAmericano · 28/10/2015 18:33

I don't drive, I literally bus it or walk everywhere, so both my new coats are more function than style but I do like them. They are a Next parka, fur lined, in 'Tall' and the Seasalt Janelle.

I bought this at the weekend in store and love it! I wasn't looking for a coat but it felt so soft and seemed a bargain for the quality so couldn't resist.

I've been looking for a new khaki parka this winter and have ordered this one from Oasis, waiting for it to arrive...

Although I am also tempted by the Superdry parka, it looks very warm and cosy...

whitershadeofpale · 29/10/2015 00:49

I love parkas on other people but they don't suit me at all, I'm too short and curvy, so I just look dumpy Sad.

I've brought this one www.marksandspencer.com/buttonsafe-wool-blend-military-faux-fur-collar-overcoat-with-belt/p/p22412913

I love the colour and the collar makes me feel super glam (although you can detach it and it's much more casual).

headexplodesbodyfreezes · 29/10/2015 01:58

I cycle commute, I can't post it because you would all laugh a lot But its high vis, surprisingly warm, allows me to move, has loads of pockets. I look like a nerd but I love it - it's perfect for its purpose Smile
