'cheap' skinny jeans that don't go baggy at the knees

Do they exist? Am i asking too much?!

Im looking for a pair of jeans that dont have their own knees by the end of the day. Im in the middle of a post baby weight loss regime, so i dont want to spend too much - probably in the region of £30 - £40, £45 max.

Where shall i look? Ive seen a few nice looking pairs on ASOS - Does anyone know how well they hold up? Or would it be better to go for a jegging/legging jean?

They also need to be a decent length - none of this ankle grazing nonsense (its almost winter!!!)

For info i'm 5ft 9 with a waist and a massive arse & thighs!

TIA

I get the BDG skinnies from Urban Outfitters. They are right at the top of your budget, but I've had the pair I'm wearing now for a few years, and they're still going strong.

They are high waisted, too, so they hold it all in in the middle.

I'll have a look for the high waist New Look black skinnies - but my DDs (teenage and skinny, didn't get it from me!) wear New Look skinnies and the fabric is quite thin but seem to have good stretch, not thick denim.

I am a recent convert to Oasis Lily - high waist and a really good fit on me, as I'm quite slim at the waist but with big hips/bum. They say ankle grazer but I'm 5ft 6 and need to turn them up to wear with Chelsea boots, so possibly only if you're 6ft tall.

I worked my way through a couple of sizes of ASOS's Ridley skinny jeans when I was losing my baby weight. I always bought them on the small side and they seemed to hold their shape pretty well. I also love Topshop's Jamies but they're more expensive.

I recently bought M&S Autograph black skinnies and am v pleased with them. They fit really well and don't go baggy on the knees. It's early days in terms of how much they will fade though - have given up on their black jeggings, as they fade so badly.

So... my shopping trip this morning has resulted in me being the owner of a pair of Warehouse Powerhold Skinnies.

Tried on Top Shop Jamie - the 32" leg grazed the ankle and they didnt have anything longer in stock.

Next - their lift, shape and whatever they are called were perfect in the long leg length, but the colour choice was dreadful.
I'll keep popping in on the off chance they have some indigo (without the faded bits on the thigh) ones in...

I also purchased a lovely striped top that i didnt need and i appear to have lost my glasses....

You can order the Next ones online if they don't have the colour you want in store.

What are the Warehouse ones like?

LittleMiss77 · 18/10/2015 16:40

It did occur to me that I could order online after I posted.... it's a slippery slope for me though. Before I know it, i'll have bought jeans, a few tops, slippers, an xmas jumper for DS....

The Warehouse ones are top of my budget, soft, not too thick, i'd have them down as a mid rise (they sit about an inch below my belly button) and lenght wise sit below the knobbly bit on the side of my ankle - just right for wearing either trainers or heels imo

The label says that as well as elastine, they are 6% elstomultiester (whatever that is)

I have high hopes for them!

In the deals section on the eBay home page they have been doing loads of skinny jeggings. I ordered three pairs, a fiver each, and they're really thick more like jeans. They have real stitching too, ideal if you're gonna get rid after you lose weight.
