Shoes that rub...?!

Please tell me how to stop this!

Most shoes rub backs of my heels the first or second time I wear them, then they're fine. But I've got one pair that I love but no matter how many times I wear them, they still rip my heels apart Angry

I've put those heel grip things in them to try to soften them. I've tried putting plasters on my feet before wearing them. I've tried the invisible socks. Why are they still rubbing?!

I put pantliners on my heels if footewear rubs.. Im a clasdy bird.
They are bigger and much stickier than plasters.
This only works if you are wearing socks or trousers that cover it obviously Grin

Try rubbing Vaseline on the shoes, I soften up my Birkies like that .

Marking my place. Can't help I'm afraid.

Panty liners - love it! Although they are shoes that don't look great with socks, so a pantyliner slipping out the top might raise a few eyebrows Wink

I'm going to try the Vaseline. They are from Clarks for gods sake, aren't they supposed to be good for your feet?!

I was told to rub a bar of soap over the bit that rubs.

You need one of www.boots.com/en/Boots-Anti-Blister-Stick-7-5g_1285177/these magic babies Grin

I've seen those anti-blister sticks when I've been shopping for plasters - do they really work?

yes they do - they were my savior when i was training to run a half marathon earlier in the year!

You can get sore spot sticky pads that stick to the inside of the shoe itself. They're really good if the shoes are rubbing because there is a slight sticky up bit in the lining or similar. I know I got some Scholl ones from Boots last year.

Alternatively put a thick plaster on the inside of the shoe as well as on your heels.

I have seen something new in sainsbury. .. 4£, invisible stocking spray or something... spray on your feet to stop shoes rubbing. Works quite well

Rub a candle against the inside of the shoe !
