My skin is sore and sensitive. Can you recommend a good but not too expensive cleanser.

Try using olive oil

Happy50 · 04/10/2015 22:39

Coconut oil is very gentle

Second the coconut oil. Very gentle and about £6 for a huge pot that lasts months.

Try garnier micellar water

Floisme · 05/10/2015 10:19

When my skin was really sore and itchy the only thing it would tolerate was almond oil although I would imagine any of the oils suggested would have worked too.

Micellar water made my face itch.

I use coconut oil and then warm water with a muslin cloth. I've found I need to wash off the oil properly to avoid any breakouts! I then moisturise a lot.

Neals yard wild rose beauty balm. My skin is very sensitive due to chemotherapy and this works wonders.

Lush Ultrabland, washed off with water on a flannel.

Micellar water brings my skin out in a rash.

Boots No7 do a good one, very gentle ( it's the pink one!)

Pandaremote · 05/10/2015 11:18

Waitrose pure range is on special offer, they have a polish cleanser balm and cleansing wash. I have bought the latter to try out.

Pandaremote · 05/10/2015 11:19

They also have a facial oil you could try as a cleanser.

Cetaphil (cleanser and moisturising lotion) have been great for my sensitive rosacea prone skin

mintbiscuit · 05/10/2015 11:37

I have sensitive skin and find keeping a simple routine stops the soreness. I use cetaphil cleanser (you can find it in the E45 section in Boots. Costs about £7/8 but lasts a couple of months). Apply it to dry skin and then rinse with water/flannel. I then use a few drops of jojoba oil and apply to damp face. Jojoba oil is closest to thing to natural sebum so provides moisture but doesn't cause breakouts (at least for me). I find even moisturisers for sensitive skin can irritate my skin.

Pandaremote · 05/10/2015 11:41

Sadly cetaphil is not kind to my skin. It seems to clog it up.

GingerLDN · 05/10/2015 12:22

Micellar water hurts my skin. Clarins melting cleanser is nice.
