Hasbeen wearers with wide feet?

I hanker after a pair of Hasbeens - I've two problems to solve first!
Width - I am best suited to Clarks wide fit - how forgiving are Hasbeens?
Winter - I often see them worn with socks - yay or nay?

I too had a hankering after Hasbeens and asked the same questions... finally had to admit defeat and give up on the whole idea of clog based footwear.

My feet are only what I'd consider as slightly wide, but no matter which style I tried (I'd say six in total, some of which I was advised were better suited to wider feet), they were excruciatingly narrow and strangely too long. I also tried Maguba clogs which are absolutely beautiful, but had exactly the same sizing issue, cost me a fortune to send them back too!

I'd recommend ordering from somewhere with free returns, if you're anything like me you won't be happy until you've tried them - good luck! Smile

I'm sobbing! I may try via Amazon then - they've been handy for returns before x

I have wide feet. V wide and Swedish hasbeens are perfect. Really comfy too.

GreenHamNoeggs · 03/10/2015 22:51

I have skinny but wide feet. My Hasbeens are so comfortable and they always get compliments Grin

Littlefiendsusan · 03/10/2015 23:05

Try Lotta from Stockholm clogs, really comfy on my wide feet.

BringMeTea · 04/10/2015 02:18

Hasbeens agony for me. Narrow and hurty. Had one wear and now languish in box. I should get into ebay.

Was thinking of trying Lotta but won't bother of they're the same.

I have wide feet and a bunion and Lotta clogs are great. Plenty of room.

I have wide feet and a bunion and recently bought Fitflop Shuv clogs. they are not traditional clogs though. I like them as they have a soft sole so quieter on wooden floors
I am a 3 1/2 and ordered the 4 as fit flop don't do a 31/2. They are very comfortable soft leather and I'm getting lots of compliments. I'm wearing them with leggings and bare feet and also with tights don't see a problem with clogs and socks.

Definitely try Lotta. She is really helpful if you contact her about sizes. I have really wide feet, and find most are really comfy (sometimes leather needs to stretch a bit).

pickledparsnip · 04/10/2015 09:29

Oh and I think they look fab worn with socks. Tights too.

First off I have wide-ish feet and have a few pairs, and no issue with them however some of the shoes I find very narrow and a proper squeeze to get in to. The sizing varies wildly IME.

Secondly I would not wear them with socks Grin

Mine are mainly proper shoes or boots, with rubber soles, not the sandals and nothing with a heel or any wooden soled ones (why put yourself through it!). I'm currently trying to sell some boots that are too big, and a pair of bright pink sandals with a heel that I can't get into.

I think it is best if you buy from somewhere in the UK that you can return them to if they don't fit. Returns to Sweden are £££.

mimiasovitch · 04/10/2015 16:47

I've found Hasbeens too narrow, but have several pairs of Lotta clogs which have been fine. I also tried the Maguba Rio clogs, which were bright pink and fabulous, but too narrow. I could have tried to stretch the leather, but didn't want to risk not being able to return them. I'd give a Lotta pair a go.
