I'm 5'3", currently 2 weeks post birth, so I'm all wobbly and weigh far, far too much (BMI is about 34 currently but weight is falling off slowly) and my boobs are ENORMOUS. Like, beyond even bravissimo sizes. I currently have a nursing bra in a 36L, it makes my boobs all.squash out to the sides, it's horrific. Because of this I look like a fucking tank when I wear anything remotely clingy or fitted over my top.

I need to be able to breastfeed when out and about otherwise I will never leave the house!

Normally I'm a leggings and dress kind of person Blush Blush Blush I know this is embarrassing for me to admit but when I'm not at work it's just how I feel comfortable - jeans and tops etc just look ridiculous on me when I'm this big and are so uncomfortable!

Any suggestions for flattering breastfeeding clothing for the overweight and mahoosively boobed?

If your boobs are being squashed out to sides by your bra, you're not in the right bra! Have you tried the whole bra intervention thing of a smaller bra size and bigger cups?
Dresses aren't great for easy bf IMO, I wore a lot of cargo type trousers (comfier on section scar than jeans) and fairly long line tops always with a vest top underneath, so you can do the vest-down-top-up thing. And some kind of scarf to cover the massive cleavage up (well, a bit of it! Wink )
Mind you, two weeks post partum I'm pretty sure I was in pyjamas. Smile

I can't get a bigger cup size! Thay would be an M and I just can't find those anywhere. And they go out to the sides because of the lack of wires. So not cool!

I have a variety of these jumpers in different colours. Stuck a long vest under them and skinny jeans. I'm 5'4 and they are good and long on so you could get away with leggings under them.

I am short and booby although not quite as big as you (currently in 34H nursing bra)

You need the top up/top down approach.

Get a load of long line vests from primark - they are really stretchy and will pull down under your boob. I don't even bother to pull it the whole way under my boob. Just bra and top as low as needed to just clear my nipple (to preserve my modesty a bit more).

Then nice drapey tops over. If you normally wear leggings and dresses then I recommend tops that are slightly assymetric and drop longer at the back. I just got a great in in cos. Will link in a minute

www.cosstores.com/us/Women/Tops/Tops_Blouses/Melange_A-line_top/15268200-15250068.1#c-15133326 This one. Because I'm short the front hits below my hip bones and the back goes over the bum. Nice and swingy so you can pull it up and drape over top of boob and the rest of your belly!!

I fine this shape really flattering as the line is nice and simple and smooth.

Also practice in front of a mirror You'd be surprised how little flesh is on show really. And a big light cotton scarf can hide a lot if you really freel self conscious.

If the band of the bra is smaller then the same cup size gives a bigger cup, iyswim. You can still get quite a close fitting, structured bra that isn't underwired. Have you been to bravissimo (you mentioned them) or just looking online? A better bra shape also makes your waist look smaller etc. But please, two weeks in don't get too bothered about this!

I've gone to the screw it school of public breastfeeding. Just sit with back to most of public. Floaty cardigans can be draped over what's uncovered and work well with leggings. Sling feeding is also discrete and the criss cross bits of a wrap type sling also can be adjusted once you're organised.

Back seat of car (shades help!) Was where I started my public bf journey.

Doubt a bigger band would help unless you can get the back taken in.

Layering is the easiest option. Vest loose enough to get boob out, top over (lift up to feed, vest covers tummy) and then long cardigan over that is my preferred option.

You will probably need loads as mine will posset fairly often - change rucksack contains clean tops for me as well as change/layers for her and nappy stuff.

Thanks all! Yes I've tried a bigger back size in bras to get a larger cup... It doesn't work. I've been to bravissimo, and a local bra shop. I'm just too small in the back and big in the cup. I think I'm probably a 34M which no one makes.

Love the top linked above, looks very comfortable! Thanks everyone Smile
