i'm size 18 ive just got some new look skinny jeans that are really high waist and stretchy feels good and supportive on my c section scar holds my overhang and baby belly in place. Also i had a tubigrip my physio gave me for pregnancy pains and i've been using that over my regular/maternity leggings for instant tummy tuck a bit of extra support when i neededGrin

bra wise i need help too! recently tried this but i got it dirt cheap nearly new off ebay Blush im a 36g its my favourite so far feels very supportive and seamless cups too

Joining in for inspiration. 11weeks in, c-section, BFing. I'm a mess trying to find clothes that fit and aren't right with boob access. Bought two pairs of skinny jeans in primark, a side up and can barely get them over my calves! So depressing!

High waisted jeans from new look are great and wear mine loads 10 months post section. Also wear spanx type pants if I want to feel more supported.
Bra wise felt much better once I went back to underwired but Prob best to get measured for nursing bras if you can.

Royce bras are really not nice on me but I found that hot milk bras are lovely and feel much nicer. I tend to buy them in the sale so get up about £20 for them.

The post baby months are all about layers. I typically buy some jeggings or high waisted elastic acted waist skirt (gap do some really comfortable ones), long line sleeveless tops (loose) and t shirts over the top. Feeding is easy as they go under t shirt, pull down vest top and nobody notices.

I'll usually dress like that for 6ish months before wanting to kill myself

Agree with pp. Jeggings or leggings with a vest top to pull down and a loose tee to pull up. Add a cardigan as weather gets cooler

Anita do a nursing bra that is under-wired, so much more support and no more mono-boob.

I used to look for shops that seem to cater for the apple (or the extreme apple as I always was pp). Fat face do quite loose fitting tops and their jeans seem to suit an apple (they also have massive fitting rooms in most shops so you can take the buggy in easily).

Spanx are great, as is M&S shapewear.

I'll usually dress like that for 6ish months before wanting to kill myself.
yes, I can relate to that! After spending 3 of the last 8 years being pregnant I am not sure I will ever wear leggings again as long as I live!!

KateArchie1985 · 01/10/2015 20:54

If you got measured in mother are it is almost certainly wrong. Try the bra guru method thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.com/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1
IF you need any help interpreting the measurements post on here and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Yet to hae baby but from previous experience- Mothercare nursing bras are horrible! It s worth getting properly measured and investing in one of two nicer ones (figleaves, hot milk, and asos have a nice selection)
Mango skinny jeans have lots of elasticity and good fit for in between times while you re shrinking Wink And they re comfy too.
Vest tops (zara and mango do ones that are super elasticised so they don't loose their shape.) and another top over it. Also a scarf to drape helped too.
I also found simple things like everytime I changed nappy doing some tummy tucks (pulling in) and using the birth ball for some simple stability exercises plus walking everyday helped tone up in the early days until I had more time and space to get back to the gym. I could feel the difference it made doing some simple exercises !

Sainsburys 12pound jeggings are a winner! I am on my 3rd pair(wear them pretty much every day) and am now 2 sizes down and still buying them. theyre not the most flattering thing on the waist for a post c section belly but theyre so comfy and dont dig in. I wear them with a long h and m stretchy vest and a looser top over the top for breastfeeding. Such great value when you dont want to spend much when losing the baby weight. Sainsburys modal leggings are great too and pull my tummy in well

I found Royce bras most supportive for big boobs - not the most attractive but did the job.
I have some high waist stretch jeans from next which fit ok.
