Does anyone know Clarks Village in Somerset?

Have got a chance to go there on Saturday, mainly to buy cut-price shoes for my many ill-shod progeny. But looking on the website I see there is Marks and Monsoon and Next and stuff.
Now I live in a small town without many shops so this is quite exciting for me. If I can sneak away from the rabble for half an hour is there anything I should be looking out for. I mainly need tops as I am rotating several £4 Primark jumpers at the moment and getting a bit sick of the look (but not as sick as DH must be obviously or he wouldn't have handed over his credit card so readily the other night).
Have lost my sense of direction style-wise and am desperate to posh up a bit before Christmas.

Did you go?
It's ok I think.

My mum has just moved to Somerton which is 5 mins down the road and loves Clarks Village. It has loads of shops - next, gap, monsoon, adidas, M&S, toy shops and others that I've forgotton!

I think it is my idea of hell. Crap stuff. I live nearby and the only thing I buy is school shoes - and my kids moan at those

You would be better going to new look for yourself

I find outlets good for a browse if you're not looking for anything really specific, so it would probably be worth the look. I've been to one Monsoon outlet & it was rubbish, but another was really good so think it depends on the time of year as well.

The good Monsoon outlet I went to had lots of posh / smart casual party tops & skirts so was quite good.

Did you find anything?

I did go. Got trainers for two of my ill-shod progeny for £5 a go so that was good. M&S was unbelievable nothing great in there but the queue for the till was miles long. Got some cheap candles in Prices candles but Monsoon was a real disappointment - most of the stuff was full price.
Very busy and I don;t do crowds but the children loved the free entertainment - carousel and pony rides with Santa.

I got some jeans from Gap recently. Don't like Monsoon - still overpriced IMO. Next and Fatface are Ok if you are on your own and have ages to browse through the crp for the one things that's worthwhile. But basically if you have* to go at the weekend, go very very early otherwise it's hell on earth (as you discovered). Nice for kitchen stuff and china etc.
