Bargainous but quality bed linen recommendations please

We have got a set from the White company which I've been reasonably happy with, but not sure I want to pay their prices again! I'd like 100% cotton/linen, preferably soft.

Well, TKMaxx is my favourite hunting ground. The choice varies a lot between different shops, but I have found lots of nice makes for really good prices there (Yves Delorme, Kenzo, Calvin Klein and more). My most recent purchase was a really lovely, soft DKNY duvet and pillowcase set.

Otherwise, I think Laura Ashley is good, and House of Fraser often has good reductions.

My favourite bed linen (and I own quite a lot of good stuff) is the Hotel range from Dunelm Mill. They do 300/400 thread count stuff which is fab.

It is ridiculously soft and luxurious (and not shiny), washes really well, irons beautifully if you can be arsed with that sort of thing and feels properly lovely in bed.

Unless it's winter and flipping freezing in which case I use the completely non posh but flipping amazing Cozee Home bedding from qvc. Basically fleece sheets/duvet covers which by some miracle are not sweaty but lovely and warm. My super special cold night saviour is called angel fleece and it is like being curled on top of the softest teddy bear.

The dc love it too...

La Redoute is good - I've just bought new bed linen for three rooms from them and they are lovely

I got a 100% linen duvet cover from H&M which is surprisingly good quality. It's dead simple but really gorgeous and gets softer each time I throw it in the dryer!

I love the Sheridan range that house of fraser stock. I wait until the sales and can usually pick a set up for about £70-£80. It's not that cheap I know but I have had one set for nearly 9 years and was used extensively and still look pretty good!

Utterly bargainous and superior quality to TWC.

Was just about to add sheridan but see someone beat me to it. I normally visit their outlet store in cheshire oaks to get some bargains or wait till they have a sale.

Other than that I've had a northern nights white set I bought 5 years ago, Its still lovely and soft with a high thread count and has never faded or gone yellow. I get mine from the QVC outlets shop so instead of paying over £100 for it I think I paid around £40.

Soak and Sleep. Bloody great. I changed allegiance from White Company.

What I like: a) range of thread counts in every single style.
b) quality - best I've had without doubt even cheap stuff I've bought (single hollow fibre duvet was the best quality one I'd had. And all for something daft like £9.50 with discount code!)
c) prices are brilliant! But they are one of these shops that have a 20% offer on 2 weeks out of 4 so I'd only buy when I could use a code.

I have fully converted my mum and sister now too!

The one criticism I'd make is their website works a bit craply on iPad I find.

Isn't that funny, I really don't rate Sheridan at all! Horses for courses I suppose - I just find it a bit scratchy.

Disclaimer - I am the total weirdo that touches all clothes before I can consider buying them!

YY to Soak & Sleep. They do some nice French linen duvet/pillow cases that doesn't actually need ironing - it's meant to look crumply and soft. And lots of offers, year round.

I'll secaond La Redoute Sceanario range, 100% cotton, lasts for ages, great quality
