Which tinted moisturiser?

Just started routinely wearing a bit of slap for work. Foundation feels too heavy (and is too much faff for every day) so I've been wearing Garnier BB cream plus some powder, concealer and lipstick. The BB cream is OK but not marvellous, so I'm wondering what to get when it runs out. Someone recommended Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser to me - is it worth the money?

I've got Mediterranean colouring with sallow skin (but freckled Angry). The Garnier medium is too dark and the light is too pale to be ideal! I also still have a few spots, or red marks where spots have been, even though I'm really old. (Yes, I'm really attractive.)

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is fantastic. I wore the oil free for years until I sorted out my spots and my skin got drier so it started to be a bit cakey. If you are still a bit oily it's basically the one all the others try to beat.

However if you still get spots, have you tried using a salicylic acid toner? I promise you they will be gone.

Agreed on Laura Mercier / they are great - pink and yellow based. Best discovery,

Laura Mercier and Nars is also very good.

Chantacaille Just Skin is perfection.

I like the Bourjois cc cream, not too ££ and just right.

Another vote for Laura Mercier here - I just got some and have had people saying ooh you look so well ever since.

Missha bb cream with Origins Vitazing underneath, it's amazing.

For olive skin with yellow/sallow undertones, I don't think you can beat Nars radiant tinted moisturiser (St Moritz shade is great but Nars colours in general give a good choice for yellower toned skin). Nars is also SPF 30 which may be of interest if you have post blemish skin you need to protect from the sun. Quite pricey, but it is the first tinted moisturiser I have ever bought for a second time and a tube lasts ages. The coverage is light/meduim as you'd expect on a tinted moisturiser, but its good enough so that you need only a little bit of concealer (I have hyperpigmentation).

I think the nars is great too.

I wasn't a fan of Laura Mercia. The oil free one never looked quite right on me - the colours are a bit off. The normal one is good but the lid leaks like a fucker and I know from other threads that this wasn't just me.

Laura Mercier tinted foundation, Bourjois cc cream or DR Jart+ Ceramidin tinted day cream. All fantastic in my opinion.

Thanks very much - this gives me some excellent ideas to try out. I really like the sound of the Nars one.

Will also follow up the salicylic acid toner tip - thanks, Wolpertinger.
