Peeling, brittle nails; physical job. Is there any hope?

Just that really; I've been moisturising with cream containing Shea butter 3x per day for the last 2 weeks, but I've seen precious little improvement. They're still peeling and looking as ugly as they ever were Sad

I'm an engineer, so I constantly use my hands although I use vinyl gloves for close up inspections and barrier cream; but the actual hand skin is fine. Nails are just ugly and peely. I'm sure nail varnish actually makes it worse!

Any tips? Thanks

Nailtiques formula 2 and using a glass nail file completely transformed mine. I could see a difference in just a week.

Almond oil every night before bed.

Definitely massage oil into your nails at least at night, and check how you use a nail file/emery board - if you're dragging it to and fro rather than from edge to middle, that'll wreck your nails ime.

They don't really get to the point where I can file them, but I will definitely try the almond oil, thank you!

Skin Hair Nails tablets (Sainsburys own, same ingredients, about 1/3 price of perfectil). Dr Lewinns www.feelunique.com/p/Dr-LeWinns-Renunail-Nail-Strengthener-30ml. Ive worked with horses all my life and my hands have been TERRIBLE. They now have never been better, stronger and Im actually proud of them. Oh and a nice glass / crystal file. Good luck
