Nursing nightwear - that's not pastel pink, blue or lilac?

Can anyone advise of any company that has managed to break away from these three colours - all of which make me look washed out? Would really like something decent to wear in hospital.

Not sure these are much better - and pretty £££.

Pyjamas in, er, pastel green.

I managed something in grey from Mothercare two years ago. Probably also not flattering to your complexion, but technically not pink, blue or lilac (and more capable of being dyed to a darker colour, which I originally intended to do but then couldn't be bothered).

Thanks JackieNo - I had been on that site - very sexy first choice - but wrong colours and both of them still involve heaving the whole thing down to expose whole boob - would rather have buttons or lift up top bit. (They are lovely though - for someone else..)

Bwahahahahaha!

Black nursing nightdress ! (although my goodness, you do pay for it...)

JackieNo · 29/11/2006 15:15

These come in grey marl or raspberry pink, so a bit more vibrant.

IME the best thing to get is a cou[ple of sets (or more) of loose shorts'n't-shirt style pjs, in co-ordinasting colours and a big, long, thin cotton dressing gown. Buy a size that is just about wearable over your full-term bump. It's ver y hot in hospital, so you don't want to be too wrapped up, and the easiest andd most modest thimng to feed in is a top that you can lift up, rather than faffing with straps and/or slits. You can mix and match iff your top gets sicked on or you trousers get bled on. The dressing gown covers everything up and doesn't get in the way. They'll be useful for night feeds at home, too.

How to make your own lift-up-the-top style from two T-shirts

More here and here (not convinced about flowers, but might be OK in rl) (not sure if links will work)

lemonaid · 29/11/2006 15:24

Some stuff here but you'd have to order from the US.

JackieNo · 29/11/2006 15:25

Black pyjamas , but another vest style top.

lemonaid · 29/11/2006 15:27

Well, these certainly aren't pastel...

JackieNo · 29/11/2006 15:29

Are they modelling those on male mannequins, lemonaid?

lemonaid · 29/11/2006 15:31

A darker blue

lemonaid · 29/11/2006 15:35

Let's just settle on "humanoid"...

JackieNo · 29/11/2006 15:37

Agree - 'humanoid' probably covers it.

has Blooming Marvellous been linked to below? They have some nice nightwear sets and a gorgeous black camisole and knickers set which I would love.

poppynic · 30/11/2006 10:21

Thanks guys for all your help. I think I might settle for the the Verb... ones from that lot .
