workwear wardrobe

i have a new job (yeah), and I am now working across four days (as a pose to two) and need to update my working wardrobe.
It's fairly casual (trousers and a jumper or top, or a dress), but I am cycling between bases quite a bit so need layers.
I like the idea of mix and match uniform which I can on without overthinking it. Any suggestions as to how to approach this?
I quite like the idea of having some merino base layers as a starter, but I don't really want a traditional 'clingy' one (which would show off my muffin top!) like the black one. The grey ruched one is more what i had in mind (but it's not available in my size). Has anyone seen anything similar as a starting layer?

Was also thinking of some roll neck jumpers? Or would cardigans be better?

how about a corduroy/tweed pinafore ? Good for on top of rollnecks and leggings/tights/jeans.

Ooh, I suit that kind of dress shape. I'm not very good with rights though. May need footless ones or thin leggings...

Oops obviously meant tights Grin

hey apologies -reread-congratulations on your new job and you 'll be biking to work! That's me too -so layers for sure . I like thick leg warmers to bike in the winter as i can peel them off when i get there. Also tunics on top of what ever you prefer. I like longer skirts with splits on the side in colder weather just not full enuf to catch in the back wheels-on top of pants or leggings, then peel off a layer .
