Primary teachers where do you shop?

Just that really, I'm a newbie and feel more scruffy and less 'put together' than lots of the other teachers. There seems to be lots of bold colours and tonal necklaces going on and comfy shoes which are less orthopaedic than my clarks. Where are you getting it from??

Next is good for work clothes, also h and m and Primark!

Next for smart days (meetings, parent conferences etc). Tesco for glitter, glue and paint days!

I am genuinely bad at clothes, always have been, but have become better at 'passing for a decently dressed teacher' of late years.

I do M&S for basics - trousers, T-shirts, linen shirts, some plain coloured knitwear - and Mistral / White stuff for more interesting tops / skirts / dresses / tunics.

I find Jones or Clinkards shoes good for finding a range of plain, comfortable but decent-looking shoes: Jones long boots, Gabor ankle boots and Josef Seibel sandals are my current workwear.

I don't do accessories, because I can't manage them - a scarf that on a colleague would look artistic simply looks bizarre on me, necklaces twist and slip and bounce!

(I should also say that I hate to shop, so my clothes choices tend to be of the 'slightly more expensive but will last for several years' variety.)
