its fab buy it from buycosmetics.com or island cosmetics it only costs 9.55 delivered you can slap it on any dry bits anywhere on the body really good for skin around nails

not as far as I can tell.I bought it because I'd heard it was the answer to everyone's problems.
Vaseline is probably just as good.

binker · 28/11/2006 17:26

would you put it round eye area ? I do use some vaseline there anyway, though it sometimes mucks up my contact lenses - is it just a multi-purpose salve do you think ?

just a multi-purpose salve. It smells medicinal,so might sting eye area.

binker · 28/11/2006 17:30

mmm, might do...vaseline is pretty magical stuff, just not very exciting (I'm a sucker for packaging and that kind of stuff - the promise of fab skin - I wish !) - thanks !

I have some that I mainly use as lipsalve, but I had a really sore patch of eczema-like stuff on my neck that was driving my mad in the night. I put 8 hour cream on it simply because there was some by the bed, and my neck was completely clear by morning. I know that sounds completely unscientific but I had a similar patch on my chin that I didn't treat, and that was still red and raw this morning. I paint an attractive picture, don't I?

noddyholder · 28/11/2006 17:37

I sometimes put a thin layer all over my face before bed or put a thickish layer on massage in with my nails and take it off with a v hot cloth I use it for loads of things its brilliant!

Tinkerisdead · 28/11/2006 17:51

I use it for dry skin patches too, i get dry flaky skin under my eyes which is really itchy and unsightly and i used it on that and it went, i think the smell is coal tar. really good as lip balm, smoothing eye brows, clearing up dry skin patches and was fab when i burnt my nose in the sun.

Soapythelistmaker · 28/11/2006 18:26

My DS's dermatologist recommended it for some contact ezcema around his mouth - cleared it up in no time

binker · 28/11/2006 18:33

...sounds good to me - I love the smell of coal tar !
