Please recommend me a sports bra

I have foolishly agreed to join a veteran ladies' hockey team despite not having wielded a hockey stick for nigh on thirty years. It was clear from today's match that I am considerably larger of nork than I was in my old playing days and I have urgent need of scaffolding a sports bra.

I hover between a 38G and a 40F. Can anyone recommend me one?

I have several berlei shock absorber multi sports bras which are great.

Not particularly attractive but the Enell sports bra is amazing for the generous of nork.

I'm a G/GG cup and used to use one for horse riding, literally nothing moved and they're really comfy.

The Panache sport is pretty good, as is the freya

Shock Absorber are excellent. If you have a McArthur Glen outlet store near you, I managed to get 2 for £40 recently which was a total bargain compared to full price

Shock absorber bras are unbeatable. I love the run bra.

I am another fan of the Shock Absorber brand - industrial scaffolding levels of support yet fairly comfortable.
Try a few styles on, make sure the band is tight enough (none of that adding inches to your back measurement thing) even if that means going up a cup size. Don't be afraid to jump up and down in the changing room wearing them to assess!!

Shock Absorber quality has dipped imho - the hooks/stitching on my last couple have not lasted.

Sizewise I went down a cupsize - normally am 32FF but in this I am a 32F.

Have had a thought though - they normally say you need to go up a backsize with some sports braa (and def the shock absorbers). I found the 32 was OK but I do measure 31 across my back. If I measured 32 I may have needed a 34 iswim

36G, and a big fan of the Panache sports bras. Especially the ones in bright colours.

Another one for the shock absorber ultimate run. It goes up to an F cup but I read reviews that said to go down a cup and up a back size which I did and it fits brilliantly.

It depends what you like in a sports bra. The shock absorbers work by compression - literally flattening and holding in place. The underwired work by encapsulating, so not flattening but containing. I've owned both styles, I personally prefer the underwired non compression type as I find compression quite painful.

Admittedly I haven't tried a Shock Absorber in years but I never found them much use for my F/G cup boobs. The Freya underwired in the other hand is the best sports bra I've ever tried, supportive and comfortable AND gives a decent shape.
