Jersey/knitted dresses and tights

The dresses always cling to the tights and look terrible, all my favourite, easy wear dresses no use to me as soon as it gets chilly.

Other people don't seem to have this problem, their dresses hang perfectly nicely. I've tried a slip and that helps a bit but doesn't solve the problem. What is the answer?

My mum always used to tell me to put moisturiser on my tights once they were on my legs - feels so very wrong but does work to stop the static.

I was going to say moisturiser. It works on synthetic cami tops too if you put lots on your belly & boobs.

I got a slip from M&S that works for me.

since i hate tights, i wear my jersey dresses with cotton leggings /+/-socks. Looks much the same to me and no static cling.

Someone suggested spraying hairspray on your tights but not tried it.

I have a very light very sheer slip (came with a dress I no longer have) that works wonderfully.

Since the temp has dropped a bit I wore a jersey dress with leggings yesterday and it was too clingy - so I threw the slip underneath = sorted. I also have an M&S slip that is great.

Have you tried rubbing your tights with tumble drier sheets as they stop static. They are also good for dusting as the residue repels dust.
