Nasolabial fillers - anyone had it done, recommendations in Belfast?

I am seriously considering having filler for my nasolabial (mouth to nose) lines, which have become very noticeable over last few years and they make me look permanently grumpy and sad!

Has anyone had good results from fillers in these lines, how many mgs did you need and just what should I expect?

I live in Northern Ireland and would really like some recommendations for clinics preferably in Belfast as I haven't a clue of where to go to!

I've just had a consult for mines, which are admittedly mild but I see my aunts and know how it's heading. Interestingly they told me the best thing would be some fillers on my cheek bone as its loss of volume there which has made everything fall forward a little and it would look much more natural than just putting filler into the lines.

I'm nowhere near Belfast but I thought that might help you.

Thanks RJ! That is very interesting that they suggested filler in your cheekbones and it probably does make sense. It's almost like a little bit of scaffolding!

Did they give you any idea of how much filler you would require and the cost?

Mines is so mild she reckoned one syringe and about £400. Which should last 18 months. I'm working on clearing up some lingering acne first so I will leave it for a bit. I'm building up to laser treatment for the acne scarring and she thinks it might just tighten mines up enough to not want fillers at all for a bit.

If you put your fingers on your cheekbones and ever so gently just pull slightly towards your ears, see what happens to your lines.
