Post Menopausal Beauty Products/Make-Up

I've found that since I've been through the menopause a lot of the beauty products that I was happily using before no longer seem to any good ie too greasy or shiny (with hot flushes galore that is the last thing I need :)!!) so I thought it might be a good idea if we share any products that we have found to be good.

Although I don't actually have spots I found that the LP Effaclar Duo - been using the 3 steps - has made a difference to my skin. I was find that my T-Zone was really shiny and greasy (in the morning I could actually see spots of grease on my nose :( ) it's not so shiny and a lot less congested looking. I use the LP Effaclar MAT moisturiser on alternate days.

I colour my hair at home with Nice and Easy, but find that I have to wash my hair daily because of my night sweats, so I find that the occasional wash using "Revlon Nutri Colour Creme" after a couple of weeks refreshes the colour.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Powder seem to be the best for me to sweep across the T-Zone - found some of the others seem to "cake".

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer is the best one I've found - doesn't seem to sink into the undereye lines ! and is fairly natural looking - I use the "nude" colour and am a typical medium colouring.

Flexidol foot cream does (much to my surprise) work on KP on your upper arms. Don't know if this is a symptom of the menopause, but it was for lucky old me :).

Seem to have drier skin all over and find that Aveeno Creamy Oil body moisturiser is pretty good - not too oily - and has a nice smell.

Any other suggestions gratefully received :)

I'm through the menopause and my skin is a lot more sensitive than before. It means I have to be very careful and normally I use as few products and as few ingredients as possible on my face. At least it means I'm not tempted by any silly anti ageing guff, although I do use sunscreen and minimise my other products so that can get away with it.

A couple of things to look forward to: I don't have to wash my hair as often or worry about body hair. In fact at this rate I shall soon have the pubes of a 9-year old. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about my chin.

:) Flo I know what you mean about chin hair! I'm also cultivating a rather fetching mustache - in fact it's the envy of DH :)
