Anti frizz shampoo and conditioner

Do anyone of them actually work? The adverts promise great things but surely shampoo is just shampoo isn't it?

I use GHDs on my hair as I'm rubbish at blow drying but the straightness doesn't seem to last long especially with this weather we've been having. Thought I'd give one of these shampoos/conditioners a go. Any you would recommend please?

Well I have frizzy hair and John Frieda 'Frizz ease ' doesn't work. What does work a bit better is Swartzkopf Bonacure hair therapy After Sun Treatment. You can rinse it out or leave it in.

My hairdresser makes my naturally curly hair look sleek and straight. He uses Toni and Guy Daily Style Conditioner which you wash out. This doesn't work for me, even though it smells gorgeous. I use GHD's all the time. They are the best.

Yes the GHDs are good, not sure about the damage to my hair though! And I can't get the straight effect to last that long. hole what product do you use before you straighten?

I think the Aussie intensive conditioner makes my hair less likely to frizz.
But I'm crap with straighteners, so its always tied back, and I look a fright on windy, humid or rainy days.

I think if your style is no longer holding then you need to give the GHDs a rest. I suspect your hair is now too dried out now and it will always be reaching for moisture (i.e. frizz).

My hair has a natural wave and used GHDs for years, amazed with their magical powers, but had to accept they had done too much damage eventually. I stopped using them altogether, got a decent haircut and let the length grow back. Once my hair was back in decent condition I started using them again but only for special occasions. Might not be what you want to hear though!

FWIW I use Liz Earle shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels noticeably softer since using it and I don't get any frizzy, which means less styling product use preventing build up which is an added bonus.

I agree that Frizz-Ease is no good. I recommend the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue range. I have natural v curly hair which I just let dry naturally though so can't say how good it would be for you blow-drying and straightening. Also wouldn't be without l'Oreal Mythic Oil which I smooth through my hair when dry, and in between washes. It's the best de-frizz product I've come across.

Tresemme do a good one in a red bottle.

I leave the Bonacure in my hair. I have used straighteners for years with heat protector spray. I do use expensive shampoo. I like anything from the Redken range.
I don't care what GHD straighteners do to my hair as I just couldn't do without them. I went on holiday once and forgot them and had to buy a cheap pair in Spain.
Why couldn't I just have hair like the old Timota ? Ad. My husband had gorgeous thick glossy hair that he could wash in horse Shite and it would still look, sleek, un frizzy and thick. It is so unfair.

I posted something similar but I'm dry/frizzy because of greys.

Bought some Dove dry oil shampoo, before drying used frizz ease, when dry and straightened smoothed a small amount of loreal extraordinary oil over the top and voila no frizz or flyaways.

Expensive, but I love Pureology products. And my Parlux hairdryer; that definitely exceeded my expectations :-)

Don't have the answer OP but place marking as I have the same problem.

My sister has very frizzy hair and solves the issue by not shampooing - she just uses conditioner. Her hair looks lovely but I have tried this myself and it just felt greasy.

I love my cloud nines (prefer to ghds, sorry, though used to have ghds until my cat chewed through the wire) but hair is always a wavy mess again after 2 mins outside. Hate it!

this weekend I used good old fashioned vosene shampoo, then joico Kpak while I showered rinsed off and just put a bit of heat protection on the ends (the one I bought with my steam pod) left it to dry then ran over with my steam pod, Ds asked if I was going out and first thing DH said when he came home was 'your hair looks nice' woke up this morning to beautifully soft and shiney STRAIGHT hair, normally the ends feel a bit dry after straightening and shine dulls next day but I am a happy bunny today
