Embracing my natural wavy hair without the frizz help....

Fed up with blow drying my hair straight and using irons as it is damaging my hair. So I've been allowing my very thick hair to dry naturally over the hols and have discovered that actually if I could tame the frizz and keep my wild hair under a bit of control I quite like its natural wave. Are there any products on the market I could use to encourage the wave and tame the frizz keeping my Barnet natural but tame???

I have tried the curly girl method, it didn't work for me as I couldn't stand the greasiness I am very greasy!
My hair was in a horrendous state after that, so dry like straw. I started using l'oreal elvive repair products and it returned to normalish over a few months.
I went away for a few days recently and packed two bottles of conditioner by mistake instead of one shampoo one conditioner. Anyway I'd read that conditioner has a slight washing effect so I just used it as I would shampoo and it was fine. I've been doing that for two weeks now and my hair is in better condition than it's ever been I can't bloody believe it. Happy!

I stopped using shampoo and conditioner in may, I have straight but very frizzy hair, always have. I wash my hair with water and aloe vera juice mainly, about once a week or so. It took about three weeks to transition I love it, I can leave it to dry naturally and there's no frizz, no static, it's lovely.

There's a no poo page on Facebook which is amazingly helpful, loads of files for different types of hair and the best things to use.

My very wavy hair has improved immeasurably since I abandoned heat styling products. I almost never blow dry my hair (practically only when it's cut) and maybe used straighteners twice this year. My sister who has coarse, very curly hair swears by the aveda cream mentioned. Personally though I use a light shampoo and a thicker conditioner. I like the treseme one for dry scalps in the winter and I've just started to using their new one for wavy hair. Something like weightloss. I condition each time using a conditioner you leave in and rinse off (normally the hair dye ones you get in home kits) but only have it on there for a short time. I use treseme's leave in hair protection cream when the hair is wet, comb through and then twist my hair into a low bun and let it dry. I get beautiful waves from that. Left naturally it goes beachy

I would say it took 8 weeks for me to be happy with it.

Eeek 8 weeks is a long time

Bumble & bumble have launched an air styler product, has anyone tried it?
