Here are my criteria. Anyone fancy finding me a dress?

I'm going out with DP next week and want a dress.

I usually end up panic buying something that is 1. not me at all of 2. a bit too young and usually garish .

I'm 35.
Size 10 in loose fitting things, 12 in fitted.
Good boobs (not too huge)
Good legs
Apple waisted
Look best in black or cool tones (have silver/dark grey hair).
Love vintage inspired. Hate Lady V London/Lindybop
Love unusual fabrics and prints (lace, velvet, leopard print etc).
Quirky and retro. My style is the opposite of the classic and chic that you see on here.

For context this is my favourite going out dress but it's a bit OTT for this occasion.

Budget up to £70 for the right thing bit would prefer cheaper.

Anyone?

What is it you like then if you say you like vintage but "can't stand any of that kind of stuff" (which is what most people would call vintage)!?!?

I like vintage...but hate the sticky out Lindybop dresses and flicky eyeliner.

Out of your budget, unfortunately, but I love this as an example of vintage inspired that's not all petticoats and cupcakes.

I'm place marking as I too love vintage styling but am not a fan of the Vivian holloway, lindybop etc. hoping somebody comes up with a link for somewhere suitable!

None of this is my style at all. I think it's all vile - but there are plenty of dresses on Vivien of Holloway that are not Lindypop style - fitted pencil skirts, non-flarey tea dress and sarong skirt dresses.

I like my Collectif dress because it's sleek and simple. It's just a LBD. As I said in my OP it's too dressy for this event..

I think that 99% of what Vivien of Holloway/Lady V/Lindybop do is tacky fancy dress 50's pastiche that looks good on about 1% of those who wear it.

The vintage I love is true vintage. More 60's than 50's but with a few understated 50's day dresses.

For this night out I want something vintage inspired but more casual than my Collectif dress.

I dont understand why the mint one is nearly double the price when its not nearly as nice as the black.

£395 is only slightly off my months rent, not a chance I shall ever spend that amount of money on an item of clothing or shoes......my wedding dress wasn't even that much money
