Ideas for Size 24 clothes

I am trying to find clothes in a size 24 that are trendy. But I am really struggling to find things that look good at my size, and are not frumpy or old fashioned. Any ideas?

I always used the sales at Evans.

I love buying clothes now as I but what I want, not what's in the.sale
that's not a.dig, I had a gastric bypass

Phase Eight have just started a limited range which goes up to 24 called Studio Eight.

Maybe not trendy enough but Monsoon goes up to a pretty generous 22 so some things may fit 24?

I am looking for everyday tops. But I really don't like those tops raisingsteam

What about Yours? I am that size although old enough to want things not too trendy and agree it is hard to find good stuff. Evans is boring even for my age group

Agree with Raising that Taking Shape is worth a look, I've had some really individual bits from them

Okay I will take a look again. I just bought a top from boho. I manage in some sites to find one thing I like, but I really want a site where I can find lots of things I like.
I have always found the quality of a lot of Evans clothes shocking.

Asos Curve have some gorgeous stuff - simple lines, nice colours and a million miles away from frump.

I agree that Evans is tat, so is a lot of Yours stuff, you have to pick carefully there.

Taking Shape are great quality but a bit quirky for me so I have to find just the couple of things that suit me.

I really miss Ann Harvey although it tended to be quite classic. It is very old and boring now it is part of Bon Marche

Yes Ann Harvey used to have some really nice work things and formal dresses. I used to buy all of my work clothes from there.
I have spent ages looking on the net and have found one blouse in New Look I really like. I think I just have to accept that it will take me a long time to find clothes I like in my size.

In general, I prefer retailers who go up to bigger sizes to 'specialist plus size labels', who seem to think that, if you're large you aren't interested in quality or taste.

Agree that Evans is much too poor quality. Also think Yours have a cheap and nasty look online, though haven't tried. And went into a Simply Be shop and was horrified by the garish polyester all around.

Boden go up to 22 and, in some styles, this is generous, so worth looking there. Plenty of basics, as well as 'fun' prints.

Sadly also agree with OP that Taking Shape doesn't appeal at. Seem to be a lot of quite ugly patterns and unflattering tops - either loose and baggy so you look like a ship in full sail or asymmetric, often short in front so they show off tummy and crotch! There are far too many tops like this around anyway IMO,

I was a 22/24 this time last year and I got most of my tops in a 22 from Next or Debenhams. Monsoon, Wallis and M&S all go up to that size and their tops tend to be generous in size. I did have to get trousers and jeans from specialist plus size shops like Evans but their other clothes are pretty awful.

I love the look and shape of sixteen47.com which was set up by Helen Teague and Dawn French to provide beautiful clothes for the 47% of women who are size 16 or above.

Their colours are not great for me, though and many of the fabrics made me feel a tad warm, just thinking about them.

Next go up to a 26 or 28 in quite a few styles. Worth a look there.

There's a new line called studio 8 part of phase eight.

Asda do good basics and often great stuff suitable for work. Sainsburys is even better as better quality. Both go to a 24 and generous sizing so many items need to be brought in a smaller size. M&s again lots in main range up to a 24 and have a plus range. Debenham Maine, manta ray and several other collections go to a 24.

I think 1647 must really be the worst plus size company of the lot. Hideous frumpy tents. I notice Dawn French herself wears Marina Rinaldi, the plu size label of Max Mara, which I do recommend but is £££.

Have just ordered a top from Studio 8, so will see what it's like.

George at Asda and TU at Sainsburys go up to a 24 although not in everything.
