I go away on holiday in 4 weeks and have broken out in the most horrendous boil type spots on my jaw line and chin.

Any recommended products to help clean my face and combat these hideous spots? Confused

I'm 40, been under a fair amount of pressure home and work these past few weeks and my skin is paying for it...

Get the blister patches and then come back and tell us what happened Grin
Sound the klaxon first though op.

I spent years scrubbing, using all the spot stuff only to get worse and worse and the OCM was a disaster !
Months of huge painful lumps ensued .

Do not rub, scrub or stimulate your skin ( stop touching as well!)

The horrible big spots that I used to have around my jawline went when I cut out cows' dairy products.

They were always really bad in January after eating rich, buttery foods over Christmas.

oneday I had skin like yours too, almost constantly for my whole adult life. I know she gets a bashing at times but in general, Caroline Hirons saved my face.
Get acid on there twice day, use simple cleansers like Ultrabland (lush) and Take the Day Off (Clinique). Serozinc for redness. Neutrogena oil free moisturiser or Cerave PM.
I also love Origins Super Spot Remover gel and just about anything by La Roche Posay.

Foaming stuff, and SLS/SLES are generally not good for the skin. By using harsh degreasing agents, all you will do it make your skin think it needs to produce more. Plus, as per this list, SLS & SLES are actually known to cause spots. I'm an (admittedly recent) convert to oil cleansing. There's been some discussion about hot cloth/ water causing broken capillaries in the face. However, if you use a decent microfibre cloth, you can use warm water, even tepid, & it still works. I bought a pack of Cheeky Wipes & get a fresh one each day.

I've also found this blog really helpful in choosing appropriate oils to use on my skin.

That's interesting Pax
I wonder if it ties in with hormones in milk ????

I use Nip and Fab deep cleansing fix when I get bad ones. You can cleanse with it, use it as a mask and put on spots overnight. Really works, and it is a huge tub too!

I have spotty skin and like this cheap face wash from Boots:

It is always on offer and it is very good for the money.
