I am 5'2" and a size 10/12. I will be visiting the UK in a couple of weeks time and really want to buy some pretty and some basic decent quality t-shirts that won't go in holes after 2 washes. I am looking for long and short sleeved ones in a variety of colours and styles please add places you would recommend for design and quality.

White Company. Great quality

Uniqlo and Boden tees are both good. This summer I found some nice ones in New Look too.

I find Jigsaw ones great quality and fit, on the pricier side though at £35.

People Tree. Beautiful quality, classic, wide range including simple and more detailed. And ethically produced. Smile Happy shopping!

Just bought a Uniqlo premium linen shirt. Terrible fabric. I look as if I've been sleeping in it after 10 minutes! They are asking for pics so am hoping for a refund. Very disappointed

I get holes in the front of my t shirts too. Trying googling it, there are hundreds of theories about it!

wiltingfast · 16/07/2015 08:10

I love cos t shirts personally, loose fit, fine material, lie nicely Smile

Some of mine are on their second year so quality good imo

AnnPerkins · 16/07/2015 09:36

I think the holes are from my belt buckle or the stiff fabric where my jeans do up rubbing against the fabric.

Fat Face tshirts are very good quality, the White Company ones I've bought have been terrible.

Surely the holes come from the t-shirt rubbing between trouser tops/belts and a desk/work surface! I'm sure that's where mine are from, due to many hours pressed to my desk at work every day.
