Any tips for sorting out my nails please?

My nails themselves are strong & fine - but look at the state of my cuticles!

They peel, or a large chunk comes away, leaving it sore. They're quite dry, I guess.... I can paint my nails but they look a right mess, as the surrounding area looks terrible.

I don't want to spend money on a professional manicure as I'm happy to do it myself - I slap on a bit of hand cream when I remember (not very often) but I'm not sure what else to do to sort this out.

Do I use something formulated for cuticles? What works for you? How often do you apply stuff to them?

I use cnd cuticle oil and mine look so much better. I'm s picker so and lose bits of skin end up being peeled off and look terrible but the cuticle oil gas really helped.

I use coconut oil every day and it's really improved my cuticles and also my dry hands. I keep some in a little pot next to where I sit and just rub a bit in whenever I think of it. Strangely my cat loves to lick my hands when I've just put it on!

I use solar oil (because I got some freebies), but the best thing I've used has been the Flexitol cream for cuticles. Sorted things out in no time.

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream will sort them out for you.

If you use an acid toner, I sometimes wipe the pad round my nails after I've used it on my face, it will help moisturise and the acid will start to remove dead skin cells.

I get the same and my problem is mainly picking at them. Nail varnish I think is a double-edged sword - I pick less with it on but am far less likely to moisturise and I also think the varnish dries out the cuticle to an extent and the remover definitely does.

Keep cuticle cream by the sofa and put it on every time you watch TV, you can just mindlessly rub it in.

Vaseline! Rub it on whenever you remember throughout the day, fab stuff and works quicklySmile
