Love this dress but too ££££. Can anybody find anything similar?

It's from Jigaw Here Love the shape and that it's a cotton/silk mix but cotton would be fine. Don't care about the colour particularly. Print would be fine too. But it has to be cotton, silk or a mixture.

Any ideas, oh wise ones?

Well, there you go. Problem solved- just buy the dress that's more expensive than the one in your OP Grin

Remaining off-brief, I love this too but know from having tried it on in an earlier incarnation that it doesn't work on me at all.

Do you like leopardprint?

tethersend · 26/06/2015 23:58

I like the green one very much.

I'm not keen on floral prints.

Lucked · 27/06/2015 00:05

Unfortunately v neck but cotton and a nice length click

tethersend · 27/06/2015 00:08

Why don't you go for a fifties repro one? They don't stick out as much as the pic as long as you don't put petticoats underneath- here

Lucked · 27/06/2015 00:09

Ignore my link it has already been linked to up thread.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/06/2015 00:11

Ooh no. Sorry Teths, but I really, really dislike those retro ones.

Lucked - I don't like that particular one but have no real objection to v neck, if not too low.

The Hobbs Twitchell is the one I was thinking of. What about thisCoast but I fear it is only a poor substitute for the real thing and probably not natural fibres.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/06/2015 00:24

And nearly as expensive as the Jigsaw one too! :) But thank you.

Tu at Sainsbury have that style of dress in various different prints. Can't link as they aren't online. But I'd say they are cotton.

Waterandtea · 27/06/2015 07:47

Have you looked in dorothy perkins? They have some cotton dresses. Like this one:

Thanks. I think I've given up,after all that, and am going to get a skirt instead.

Cotton and silk have very little price difference but silk difficult to handle and care for hence less use
Polyester is new norm because cotton is effectively a luxury yarn
