Thickening shampoo please

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good thickening shampoo that is not too heavy. Some of them weigh your hair down. I am ...erm..oldish, thyroidless, have dry, coloured hair (due to greys) and it's thinning on top. Sound great don't I !! I have been using Plantur 39 (the green one) and it does give volume but my hair is so dry. I don't mind high street or high end.

Try Klorane quinine shampoo and conditioner, it smells a bit strong but it is fantastic. I used it after breastfeeding both DDs and even between babies and pregnancies - fantastic stuff. You can buy it from John Lewis - I get mine online - click and collect at local Waitrose.

Fibrology is the best out there.

I love Fibrology. Some people have tried it and hated it but it's pretty cheap so worth a shot.

Elvive fibrology or herbal essence thickening (the orange bottle) both excellent.

I think the one thing better than any shampoo is a good thickening but lightweight mousse. Treseme does a fantastic one-salon finish volume and lift. A little goes a long way, it stops my hair going stringy and gives it texture and bouce.

Thank you MNers.I do use L'Oreal Techni Art Volume Architect thickening blow dry spray( from Sally's) and it is very good. Thickening but weightless. I just wanted a double whammy. Thank goodness for a good hairdresser !
