I am completely rubbish at blow drying/ styling hair. Help? Do I need Babyliss Big Hair or GHDS? What hairdryer?

I need to sort this out!

Should I go for a Babyliss Big Hair or GHDS? (or other straighteners) I can't do blow drying or styling, I get all muddled and can't manage it.

Would a good hairdryer make a difference? I just use an ancient one, blast heat at my head for about three minutes and then leave it.

I have hair that comes past my shoulders, it is very fine in texture, but a reasonable amount of it - not thick or luscious, but not too thin either.

Conscious of not wanting to process it too much with loads of heat - are there good hairdyers that offer some heat protection?

What is the best heat protection spray or serum etc?

I'm also terrible at blow drying my hair straight, even after investing in a Parlux I'm still terrible at it.
I have a BBH but it bores me to tears using it.

I blow dry (badly, with frizzy but dry hair) and then straighten with GHDs.

I have TIGI blow out balm for blow drying.

Cheap straighteners should do the job just as well as GHDs I reckon

Thank you!

I wonder why we're so bad at blow drying Grin I hear ya on the being completely bored, though - maybe that's it.

Will look up the TIGI balm!

I was very disappointed in the bbh although it may be the user rather than the product!
I would go for the ghds.

I have long hair, quite thin so I have the same problem. My hair needs volume just to look healthy & a bit more glam. I am not keen on using to many products so I wash/ condition leave my hair in a towel for about 1/2 hr then add in some volumising mouse at the roots and divide with a clip. Blowdry on the hottest setting & use a big round brush then blast with cold hair to hold it in place. Then a tiny bit of heat protector & straighten (mid price range had them 2 years now & they are great).
