What size bra for dd on these measurements

So using the new method I have measured dd as 26" under bust
30" over boobs

What size would we be best to try, a 28? And what cup?

That's 26D in theory there are some brands that do 26 back I think, one of the bra experts will no doubt help on that. Otherwise its a 28C which I have heard referred to on here as the rocking horse shit of the bra world!

Really???? I must of done something wrong, these are first bras I'm after for her, she is just starting to develop enough that she really needs something under her clothes, no way she is a c/d cup

28C/ 26 D is actually really small. It's equivalent in volume to 30B just more supportive.

It may be right, when I was 11/12 I went through nightmare years with shops trying to get me into 32A/B/C bras which were always uncomfy, used to get terrible back ache, but eventually got properly fitted at bravissimo and got 28F at 14 and it was a revelation! I'm 30 now!

The D cup isn't that big with a small back size like your DD.

Ballet girl can I ask where you got them from because my DD us a 26 too and I can't find any anywhere!

I couldn't get 26 band. Dd measured 26C so I bought 28B instead.

Then she increased in back size a bit so I got 28C from John Lewis

John LEwis are about the only place doing the 28C just now.

You haven't done anything wrong OP. Cup size is relative to band, so roughly speaking a 26D would have a similar boob volume to a 28C, 30B or 32A. You probably wouldn't have been shocked if we'd said 32A though.

You can get a 28c from m & s but it's underwired & seems to run a bit small.

If you have one close, Bravissimo is amazing. I'm a 28" and get all my bras from there, they're not more expensive than John Lewis etc and she'll get measured properly.

I guess I just thought she would be a AA or A cup, we have tried a few 28a etc which I picked up for her but she says they hurt and wouldn't wear them.

I always thought I was a 32a and struggled for bras for years until 10 years ago I got implants and I still struggle now bet I'm not actually the 32D I wear.

Not sure we have a bravissimo but we do have a john Lewis, m$s, debenhams

TBH, she's probably slightly too small for Bravissimo just now (as the smaller bands available are 28s) but not for long. A 28A would have been uncomfortable, most likely, because if the cup is too small then it pulls on the band, and the wires etc will be in the wrong place.

Don't touch M&S measuring service with a 10ft barge pole. John Lewis tend to be ok, but make sure you have a good read of this so you know what a good bra should look like.
