Any tips for doing an 'Elsa' type braid in dd1's hair?

I can do the volume-ey bit at the front...but when I get to the actual plait, it's like my brain refuses to tell my hands what to do Confused

I can do it in my head but not co-ordinate myself to actually do it irl!

Any tips, tricks or cheats out there? Or something that'll look like Elsa's braid but is easier to co-ordinate actually doing?

Youtube.
Herringbone or fishtail plaits.
There are loads of videos on there

I have you-tubed some, will have another watch later on & practise.

It can't be that hard Hmm

It's a fishtail I think, they are pretty easy to do - YouTube it.
I can do a decent fshtail and I'm rubbish

There's a YouTube account called Cute Girls Hairstyles that covers loads of types of braids and styles. I learnt the waterfall one from them

It's a fish tail as PP have said. pinterest is also great for tutorials. Grin

I got very into celtic knot buns for a while. Tutorials by Loepsie. Addicted!

I just do a normal braid but still start at one side and work round.

lucysmam · 09/06/2015 11:30

Prima, I don't think I could co-ordinate my hands to do that!

I'll watch some more videos & practise some more. Hopefully at some point it'll just 'click' Hmm

I do a french braid. I start in the middle of the head and gradually work it down one side so it sits over the shoulder when I'm done. I also pull the braid strands out a bit once it's tied off to give the braid more volume and look a but fuller. (It's the volume bit at the front I struggle with)

Youtube search lilith moon - lots of braid tutorials. Mostly pretty simple. Smile
