Please please help me sort my wrinkly forehead out

Argh! I have just seen a photo of myself and all of a sudden I appear to have sprouted a wrinkly forehead :( I am 32, I am outdoors a lot and have been known to have a little too much sun exposure in the past- not actual sun bathing though, just been out too much so face feels hot Blush. I am quite expressive when I talk- lots of eyebrow raising etc. What can I do to stem the horrible wrinkles? I have a line between my eyebrows and a few lines across my forehead. Budget won't stretch to Botox but are there any creams/ serums out there which may help/ stop them getting any worse? I have just bought Clinique City Block SPF 40 which I will be using every day. Please help me, I am feeling very sad :(

Wassat · 07/06/2015 19:30

No advice really but will be watching as I'm the same . mine are pretty deep , all horizontal except one that runs down between my eyebrows! Argh... Damn my expressive face Smile

Wassat · 07/06/2015 19:42

Commiserations. Me too. Very strong cowlick and horizontal lines. Mine appeared from nowhere a few days after my 36th birthday. Nice birthday present they were!

(I dream of a fringe. Hairdresser told me they can be achieved with lots of blow drying, but I'm sceptical. If anyone has had any success, do share.)

Millipedewithherfeetup · 07/06/2015 19:45

You just need a good stylist, they will be able to sort this out and give you blow drying tips etc. Google fringes for cowlicks.

burnishedsilver · 07/06/2015 19:48

Botox.

Surfboredcat · 07/06/2015 19:51

I'm marking my place as I've had a really hard going year and have developed two prominent forehead lines and one frown line.
I'm not as bothered by the forehead ones but the frown line makes me look angry when I'm not!
I'm actually considering Botox but don't know if I can afford it!

Surfboredcat · 07/06/2015 19:52

Oh and a fringe looks hideous on me Sad

Kelly1814 · 07/06/2015 19:53

Botox.

I spent hundreds, nay thousans on expensive creams and serums, for years, trying to get rid of lines.

Then I embraced Botox and never looked back...done properly, it can look fabulous. My skin is smooth, not too tight, forehead and crows feet like a baby's bottom :)

It is the only thing that works.

Have a look at the Korean skin care thread there's lots on sheet masks which are supposed to pump moisture back into your face.

I recon I'm going to give that a go, I've started looking pretty wrinkly just recently !

Wassat · 07/06/2015 20:11

Thanks, I'll have a look at Korean skin care-really can't afford Botox At the moment :( I'd've really happy to find something to tide me over till I can :(

Fringe.

I have a cow's lick and no patience for complicated hair styling and it's been my saviour getting one cut in.

Wassat · 07/06/2015 20:25

How do you style it doris- does it involve a lot of blow drying?

Hello. I use Frownies when my between the eye wrinkle starts to bother me. A couple of nights later it looks much better. Also stops you frowning in your sleep.
There is more information here www.frownies.co.uk but I usually get them from Amazon.
They are also against animal testing, which is very important to me - each batch of Botox is tested on mice to make sure it is safe.
Would love to know how you get on.

Wassat · 07/06/2015 20:36

nicnoo just reading up on frownies- what actually are they? Do the irritate your skin?

OP posts:
Nicnoo2 · 07/06/2015 21:09

No not at all and I have very sensitive skin. They are a paper with glue on that you dampen and stick to your skin. They then 'train' your skin back into place during the night. You take them off with water the next morning and my skin is also always very smooth underneath.
Apparently they are very popular in Hollywood and have been around years.

Twinklestein · 07/06/2015 21:11

Please don't inject toxins into your face.

You need a really good thick night cream. And olive oil.

Sallystyle · 07/06/2015 21:30

Retin A might help!

queenbrunhilda · 07/06/2015 21:53

Me too. Am experimenting with micro pore in lieu of Frownies overnight. Also Nip Line Erase in the day and Snoxin at night (would rather treat surface than get into injections). Marginal improvements so far.

DorisLessingsCat · 07/06/2015 23:10

Wassat - mousse and blow drier with a brush sweeping it down and back and forth. I have a side parting.
