Where do the 30 something men in your life shop?

DH never shops for clothes but on discovering a hole in his single pair of work trousers and a fairly juicy tax rebate this week he has decided he needs some new work, and casual clothes.
He needs work trousers, some smarting v neck jumpers, shirts and casual shirts. Oh and some new jeans. Any ideas
He is 6'1 and fairly long limbed, broad of shoulder Gap and M&s. Top shop is a bit 'young' ConfusedConfused

OP, just come back as didn't want to give you the wrong impression.

I wasn't correcting your English, I don't really know about hyphen use Grin
Your title just made me laugh Grin and I couldn't resist. Thanks

Thanks for all your help. I think a fairly unpleasant trip to Westfield is in order this weekend.
Don't worry re 30 men, I laughed too! I don't think I could deal with 30

Ooh I like the idea of having your own tailor!

Banana Republic

YY from my DH (35) to Charles Tyrwhitt, TM Lewin, Hugo Boss, Paul Smith...expensive taste, though first 2 do lots of offers and the others he tends to buy at outlets. Also bits and pieces from Gap and Uniqlo. He practically breaks out in a rash at the mere thought of M&S.

He also likes Reiss, has bought some lovely smart non-work shirts there this year, but do watch out for size/fit combinations - he takes a M in most places but in Reiss will sometimes need a L for their slim fit shirts.

At Christmas I bought him a John Smedley jumper which is gorgeous wool but I fear introducing him to Mr Porter may have been a mistake.

squizita · 05/06/2015 20:57

Uniqlo, Next, Jackamo (he is built for comfort not speed Grin ).

Err
Gap trousers/jeans, band tee shirts and teeshirt from the local skate shop, hoodies.
Accessoried with a hipster beard.

I think he should buy stuff from all saints, but he baulks at the prices.

ToddleWaddle · 05/06/2015 21:11

Ted baker, Hugo boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Thomas pink and odd bit from white stuff of hollister

MrsMarigold · 06/06/2015 08:57

Charles Tyrwhitt for shirts and jumpers
Jigsaw for trousers
John Smedley for summer knitwear and polo shirts
Casual shoes - Puma trainers
Other shoes Churches
Suits and Coats - hasn't bought one in ages but always went to Aquascutum
Nicole Fahri for other stuff
M&S/Thomas Pink- for boxers and socks

Do you have a House of Fraser? They have some nice brands. DH likes Howick and Tommy Hilfiger.

ethelb · 07/06/2015 17:51

Thanks everyone.

In the end Levis came up trumps for jeans after a disappointing trip to Gap (which is a shame).

Topman yeilded some surprisingly good tshirts and a nice new fleece for me (xxs men's size).

M&S gave us good socks, work trousers and one nice shirt.

Primark has some unusally designed nice t-shirts (men and women) as did Uniqlo but we only got one from Primark.

The shock winner of the day was an H&M sweater which DP is now trying to plan his whole wardrobe around (!) Its great to add another shop to his repetoire.
