Bumpy red upper arms - the best cure I've found

I'm in love with a product I've just tried -Gold Bond cream. I've only used it once but already my arms aren't red and only look bumpy close up, and they feel much smoother. I've never had such instant results with any beauty product!

Only downside is that I did smell faintly of wee in bed last night (presumably the urea in it)... And not sure how easily available it is in the UK - but thought I'd share anyway in case someone can find it online or to add to those "what should I buy in the US" questions Smile

I wish they did sell it here. I haven't come across anything that gets rid of redness.

Lush Aqua Mirablus scrub bar is said by one Mumsnetter to be brilliant at preventing those red bumps. I've just bought it so too soon to tell.

DS has this and we had good results with coconut oil

Any exfoliator will do the job. I had the bumps in my teens but I've used a loofah/exfoliating gloves/body scrub regularly ever since and they never came back. I read in a magazine it's caused by poor lymphatic drainage. I don't know if that's true but exfoliating works perfectly for me.

Any heal cream with urea in it works for this Smile - it's called keratosis pilarsis.

I have got rid of the bumpbs fine but they are still red.

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty · 02/06/2015 22:34

Exactly margarita - I've been able to keep on top of the bumps in the past by exfoliating and moisturising pretty intensively, but never as easily as rubbing in a bit of cream and it's never got rid of the red either

Best thing ever is sun. After a week in the sunshine on holiday, mine is gone for at least six months.

margaritasbythesea · 03/06/2015 05:55

Not for a redhead llike me I am afraid.

paxtecum · 03/06/2015 05:58

This can be due to a vitamin deficiency.

goodasitgets · 03/06/2015 06:23

Soap and glory shower gel (the clean on me one) bizarrely gets rid of mine! Was using it with a shower scrunchie as normal and noticed mine had gone after using it for a while

Dry body brush in the direction of the heart every morning.

Handsupbabyhandsup · 03/06/2015 07:05

It's also a sign of gluten intolerance
