Jacket / wrap / shrug to go with this dress (Royal Ascot Royal Enclosure)

Hi,

I'm wearing this dress to Ascot in a couple of weeks, but in a nude colour.
I have hat, bag and shoes to match (again all in the nude tone), but if it gets a bit chilly I'm in trouble.

We're in the royal enclosure, so strict rules around dress code, but nothing specific about jackets / wraps or shrugs.

The bow detail is quite high on the waist, so if jacket I think it needs to be short. Does anyone have any ideas? Happy to spend £2-300 for something that won't ruin the outfit.

I think I would go for a wrap with that. The whole sillhouette would be more elegant than blazer / shrug / bolero (yuk).

With black I would, but I think you got the nude version? I would say something a bit stronger if you are all neutral tones otherwise.

It is a fab, fab dress. Classic and classy.

Oh, you might be right, I did think I might look a bit bland (particularly as I'm blond and pale).

Any suggestions as to a colour, I suit blues and greens rather than warm shades.

I don't have an answer but just had to say - fabulous dress.

Maybe you can pop along to Horrids or somewhere in a nude/beige t-shirt, and fling wraps over your shoulder one after another until you come across a colour that just 'sings' or 'sets' everything?

Thanks for the compliments on the dress, it's old, but fits like a glove. (Or a very well fitting dress )
