I was so looking forward to getting them, but there's now way I can wear them. For one I have horrible long second toes that look hideous in them, and because the freaky aforementioned toes claw over at the end, the sensitive ends of my toes hurt on the hard soles of the sandals. Also I have MS which gives me foot drop, and the long ends (of the sandals, not my toes) trip me up.

I've got to send them back today and I'm gutted. Please tell me I'm not the only one to not get on with these supposedly super-comfy sandals, and that my future does not lie in orthapedic granny shoes? Last year I lived in canvas flat black or white Mary Janes, and I was really excited to get something different and colourful.

I hate my second toes. I can never wear nice open-toed shoes without them sticking out like ET's finger Angry

I am sending back Hotter Evie sandals if that's any consolation. Rubbed my foot raw in half a day. I too am consigned to sensible lace ups with orthotics Confused

Sorry, I prefer Keen sandals. I go for comfort every time.

Try Ecco sandals . Amongst the range are some stylish ones (honestly!)
Blissfully comfortable and yet hard wearing and flattering . I too have a long second toe and hideous feet, very self conscious about them , but my feet look acceptable in these . Sorry can't do a link from phone or wd put up pictures

Have you tried birkenstocks? They have nore support (though i love my saltwaters). The rio ones have a similar feel to them but should be more supportive.

I find Saltwaters too flat.

Do not feel bad about sending them back.

I am going to have a day at the Merry Hill centre and try on some of the sandals recommended above. I hate shopping and usually buy everything online, but I must accept I can't do that with shoes anymore. I have too many provisos nowadays - soles not too hard for the hammer freak-toes, turned up front so they don't trip me up, closed back so my foot drop insole doesn't slip out, closed fronts so ET doesn't 'phone home' through them...this kind of thing is why old ladies wear open sandals in all weather isn't it? And cut the fronts out of their slippers? Oh for the days when my only requirement when buying shoes was that they looked trendy!

Thank you for making me feel a bit better with your suggestions. Smile
