Is there any point trying to have a fringe when you've got a cow's lick?

Just that, really.

I'm in my mid-50s and fed up of having no fringe. It makes me look like I'm all forehead and no hair. But when I've tried a fringe before, it ends up all over one side because of my cow's lick. I can't be doing with one of those sloping fringes (iykwim) which is constantly over one eye.

Any suggestions?

Heavy fringe and double cooslick here - the side to side drying method works for me and I don't have to use straighteners on it.
