I am so bored of boxy baggy high necked tents!

I'm a size 10-12, not exactly got the best figure in the world so I don't want to wear anything too tight BUT everything at the moment is like wearing a gigantic tent. I really need to find some clothes that are well fitted as that is what suits me best but I've tried most of the usual stores(Reiss, KM, Hobbs) and they all seem to be making everything really baggy around the waist so it gives no shape and makes me look much bigger than I am. Any suggestions very welcome!

Me too. Watching with interest. These monstrosities don't even look good on the models, let alone the likes of ordinary women with ordinary bodies.

I look like a box in everything.

I try, wherever possible, to go for v necks which are fitted. I'd forget what's in the shops at the moment. I put a long vest under a soft jacket to minimise boobage. I wear heels all th time to minimise dumpiness.

High necks combined with baggy waists are the stuff of the devil if you're short. Especially if made from flowery polyester (looking at you, M and S)

I hear you. I am top-heavy hourglass, and those sort of shapes make me look huge all over, as they just hang off my boobs which are my largest bit. I want something nipped in at the waist which skims over the tum (mine is ok, but I've had two kids and don't want to be conscious of having to stuck it in) and has elbow length sleeves please.

Me too! I'm sick of this unflattering fashion!

The only people who look good in it are tiny and even then I often think they'd look nicer in something far more tailored. My grandmother was an excellent seamstress but I'm absolutely atrocious with a needle and anyway, I feel if I want to invest in a few key pieces I should be paying for the cut as well as the fabric!

I don't want tiny and skimpy but just classic tailoring and a neckline that doesn't make my shoulders look so broad!
