Swimsuit for 13yo DD

OvertiredandConfused · 13/05/2015 21:28

Finding this an impossible task! DD is a 34B / size 10 and will be 14 in August.

She needs a swimsuit not bikini - think UK beach holiday, hotel (indoor) pool etc!

Definitely too old for children's but I think she's too young for the cut away or navel-plunging styles. Everything I've found is bikinis or grant style that are too old for me!

Any ideas?

Boden had some good ones last year. Worth a look.

Do Joules do swimwear? I'm not a big fan but I bet they'd have something suitable. Or one of the surfy labels?

The Next and Johnnie B don't have any support and, she thinks and I might agree they're too young.

Working to get her to consider Boden ladies

Something like this? The xs is an age 14.

chocoshopoholic · 13/05/2015 22:17

Are you sure she's a 34 back size? I'm a 32-34 back and a size 12-14.

AnythingNotEverything · 13/05/2015 22:17

First things first, she probably isn't a 34b, especially if she's a size 10.

I wear a 34 band and I'm a size 16 and 34 weeks pregnant.

Google the better bra campaign and have her remeasure. She deserves a bra that fits Smile

Have you looked at the speedo sculpture range? Sporty but feminine: ie not too revealing but not fugly. Also Zoggs for similar things. I got mine on line at tesco.

OvertiredandConfused · 14/05/2015 10:59

Have had her measured several times and, in the range she wears (M&S angel as the underwire is softer and so the only underwire I'll allow at the moment), the 34B does fit well.

Given how different I find M&S from other brands, I'll make sure she is regularly measured as she starts to switch around in the next year or so.

Will try speedo and similar. Thank you

DD, aged 13, is a similar size. She is in love with the Speedo girls swimsuit range

Follow these guidelines when you do OP-

thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1

A well fitting bra won't have any wires on breast tissue, will support her back and shoulders better, avoid backache and improve posture.

M&S are not good for measuring. Maybe start by measuring yourself and see how you get on.

Sorry for the total hijack. It's good to start them young Smile
