Would like to start looking at fashion blogs - which do you follow and why?

OP posts:

Does my bum look 40 is ok but she has a "look". I skim her posts and just look at what she is wearing.

Wearing it today - ok, increasingly expensive

Susie SoSo - great should blog more often. Mix of stuff and dues some customising.

Schoolgatestyle
What I Bought Today

To be honest I used to read them a lot but they are a bit samey and they all have a "look" they stick to which is fine but not very interesting reading. Plus the all get the same stuff from PRs do there was a rash to seven boot lane shoes and u saw a lot on Instagram wearing a 'mother' tee shirt recently. I have less faith in them when they are all pushing the same things. Plus they but a lot of clothes (or possibly buy and then return a lot of clothes) and I just can't get my head around having multiple jackets, bags, coats, jeans etc

So many typos!!! Sorry!

chanie44 · 13/05/2015 21:20

I read a variety of blogs, for different reasons:

Wearing it today
The frugality
They work in fashion, so are 'on trend' (how I love that phrase Shock) but not entirely out of reach of us normal folk.

Does my bum look 40
Glam Rosie
In mama wardrobe
Susie so so
Avenue 57
Poppys style
Mummy fashions blogs, so not exactly high fashion, but I love that they are normal women with normal lives so you can relate to them.

Someone mentioned re:style recently and I really like it.

frankietwospots · 13/05/2015 23:01

I'd recommend The Edited: the-edited.com/

I want to be her friend.

ZenNudist · 13/05/2015 23:11

Watches.

Think I will try some of the newer names on this list

Annarose2014 · 13/05/2015 23:13

Buynowbloglater.

She buys a LOT but its all highstreet and has to be work appropriate so its all ridiculously wearable. Love her voice in her blog, she's self-aware and funny.

TheCraicDealer · 14/05/2015 00:31

Second Buynow. The woman is hilarious and doesn't pretend to be some wanky lifestyle guru like a lot of these other clowns.

BlueEyedWonder · 14/05/2015 07:55

I've recently stumbled upon a blog called unfancy. I think she might have stopped blogging now but the archives are worth a read. She talks about 37 piece capsule wardrobes. As someone who's trying to avoid buying more and more stuff, this struck a chord with me.

Anyone seen High on Luxe?
Megabucks!!

Penguinsaresmall · 14/05/2015 10:37

I love puttingmetogether.com

It may be a bit basic for s&b regulars Blush, but it's perfect for me Grin

FeijoaSundae · 14/05/2015 10:54

Bum is good, haven't read her for a while.

I like Forever Amber; lovely feminine style, high street, and her writing is very endearing.

WipsGlitter · 14/05/2015 11:03

There's one called catwalkschoolgates, very high end and she looks miserable in her photos, but she puts things together well and she does buy 'preloved' stuff too.

lottiesatitagain · 14/05/2015 12:26

wearandwhere.co.UK
littlespree.com
sincerelyjules.com

Annarose2014 · 14/05/2015 21:12

Know what you mean about them having a common "look". And if I see one more person bang on about Boden and Hush.....both companies I suspect are very free with the PR samples.

Still, they spend a hell of a lot on Breton tops and skinny jeans. Michelle from MyFashionable40s has spent over £1100 on clothes since January!

pseudonymity · 14/05/2015 21:38

Man Repeller - because it's smart and not all about how to look the same as everyone else.

RonaldMcDonald · 14/05/2015 21:49

Some are just dire and not stylish...simply what you's literally see in a local Marks
I often wonder who they are marketed to?
