Recommend a cheap pressed powder

I normally use mac studio care blend, it has totally run out. It's 22.50 and this month I can't justify spending that.

Can anyone recommend a decent, easily available alternative? I have combination, v sensitive pale skin.

Thank you!

If it's just for keeping a bit of shine in check, I've got the Boots Natural Collection one on the go at the moment. Very cheap, and it is quite pale. I dust it on in the morning then probably have a quick touch up around lunch and that's it.

Bog standard Rimmel

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot gets good reviews. I haven't tried it myself but a v pale friend swears by it.

I know it's been around donkeys years, but I always use Corn Silk - it's about £6 on Amazon. I have quite oily skin and it's the only powder that really stops me getting shiny patches.

Rimmel neutral

BabyGiraffeOnIce · 13/05/2015 12:23

Boots Number 7 - most of the time you can get a voucher for £3 off cosmetics with them so it brings it down, think its abut £12 ish

HelenF350 · 13/05/2015 13:01

Rimmel, have used it for years and it's brilliant.

Fabulassie · 13/05/2015 19:14

I use Max Factor. I like the way it smells.

I like the brand because Max Faktor pretty much invented makeup. But that's probably a dumb reason to buy something.

My favourite used to be the soap and glory one but I've since discovered boots seventeen miracle matte pressed powder oil free and it's fab! I'm ole but I get the second from lightest shade and apply with a big brush and it looks lovely

BillyBigchin · 13/05/2015 23:28

Defo Natural Collection. It's about £2 and honestly, on the odd occasion I treat myself to Chanel or Clinique powder I don't find it any different.

NYC pressed powder. Got 5 stars on Paula's choice and its £2-3. Excellent for my pale and sensitive skin.

HarrietSchulenberg · 13/05/2015 23:30

Boots 17, about a fiver. I'm 44 and have used it since I was 16, although my shade has changed from palest to a mid beige as I've got older and my skine tone has changed.

Moln · 13/05/2015 23:36

Rimmel

L'Oreal BB powder. Very fine and not cakey. I use it as a final dust, not a BB.

krisskross · 14/05/2015 17:06

Ooohhh lots of choices, thank you

Lots of bloggers rave about Bourjois Healthy Balance pressed powder.

Leviticus · 14/05/2015 19:27

Yes I've used that Bourjois one recently and would buy it again - forgot about that.

SwedishEdith · 14/05/2015 19:29

Max Factor as well.

krisskross · 15/05/2015 12:03
