Would it be wrong to take my manky feet for a pedicure?

I'm a runner and my feet suffer.

I have some rotten toenails and the remnants of athletes' foot. It's been treated, the infection is gone but the skin takes a while to heal.

Would it be very poor form to ask some poor beauty therapist to do her best with them?

Go to a podiatrist. I had one appointment and it made an amazing difference.

I worked as a beautician for years. Many people only get their hooves feet out in summer, and suddenly realise they may have neglected them. So long as they're clean, no worries.

Or try & find a medical pedicure type thing.

That's a point. A chiropodist is able to cut away hard skin, whereas as a beautician you are trying to buff it away. Could always have the Big Gun treatment, and then maintain at your local beauty salon.

Agree with Sponge, I would get them properly 'sorted' then get pedicure. Purely because you'd just be making them look pretty short term rather than sorting them out properly if you just have a pedi.
