Try "Savers"
i got Henera Shampoo and Conditioner for £1 a tube (I used to use it in my teens/twenties and it was ££ back then)

lucysmam · 07/05/2015 19:55

oooh 70, I haven't been in Savers for years. Will nip in for a mooch tomorrow.

I love Dove in all it's forms- especially body wash, hand cream and deodorant. I haven't found pricey stuff I like better! Always on offer in Boots

FrugalFashionista · 07/05/2015 19:59

Sheet mask - like going to the spa, but it costs circa 2.50 and throughly hydrates and plumps up your skin.

lucysmam · 07/05/2015 20:00

Loodle, I'll have a look at the rest of the Clearly Youthful range as well.

What do folks class as 'older' skin?

MUA seems really popular so I'll have to order some to try from the website or Superdrug when there's some spare in the bank rather than actual cash.

oh! I've never seen them before. Look like they'd be worth a go to scare the shit out of the girls Grin

Love Boots Natural Collection foundation. £1.99.

Absolutely amazing stuff Xx

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 07/05/2015 21:08

Superdrug Vit E eye cream. It's amazing, I wish I'd started using it twenty years ago. Dirt cheap and not tested on animals :)

Notfootball · 07/05/2015 21:38

Savers have micellar water for £1, keep seeing it raved about on S&B, hope it doesn't bring me out in spots.

Lidl Cien body cream with the light blue lid is fab. The dark blue lidded tub is heavier and great for dry hands. About £2 a tub I think.

knittingbat · 07/05/2015 22:11

Yes dump a lot of the Tesco conditioner on your hair and rub it in all over even into your scalp… leave a few mins while you wash the rest of you then rinse out! Amazing. It's called no-poo washing, v big in the states. I would NEVER go back.

DiscoDancer · 07/05/2015 22:17

Place marking

lucysmam · 07/05/2015 22:36

Thanks knitting, I will try it and see how I go on Smile

I'm not planning a walk to lidl for a while - I spend unnecessarily in there Blush - but will have a better look at their Cien range next time I need night time nappies for dd2.

Sleek eyeshadow palettes
St Moriz self tan lotion
Ponds cold cream or Boots own brand

flippinada · 07/05/2015 22:52

Oh, the Garnier Micellar water in the big bottle is vg and Boots/Superdrug often have offers on.

MrsEdinburgh · 07/05/2015 22:58

Boots Natural Collection Waterproof (might be called Waterguard now) Mascara is brilliant. Recommended on here & only £1.99. I buy it for every holiday!

MrsEdinburgh · 07/05/2015 22:59

Also the Boots Natural Collection concealer is good too.

yazz21 · 07/05/2015 23:34

I'm mixed race, so my skins naturally quite dry. I struggle to find budget moisturisers, that actually moisturise IYKWIM.

I bought some cien body lotion from lidl the other day. It is honestly amazing. £1.25 for 500mls, and a little goes along way. Its called hydro 24 light feeling body lotion. I've been using it everyday, and my skin has honestly never been so soft.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 07/05/2015 23:36

Alberto balsam shampoo and condioner are amazing at only £1 each per bottle.
The apple ones are the nicest, imo.

SoundingBored · 07/05/2015 23:52

yazz21...thats good to know! My DC are mixed and none of the lotions I biy are good on their skin. At the moment am using coconut oil after the bath. Its great, and DD is fine with it, but DS doesnt like the smell...so will def try the Lidl one.

dun1urkin · 08/05/2015 00:01

YY to Superdrug Vit E stuff, they also do big vats of Vit E body cream. And a big YY to the £1.98 solait face suncream.
I've 'resized' from EL to No 7 to Superdrug and my skin looks no different at all.

lucysmam · 08/05/2015 09:35

Right! I'm off shopping Grin I have £15 in my purse just for meeeee!

Not entirely sure what I'm going to get yet but Superdrug is def on the cards & Boots for a Natural Collection mascara Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/05/2015 16:26

Natural Collection blusher is nice too - the pink one is not quite as nice as Benefit Dandelion, but it's not far off and costs about a zillionth of the Benefit one.

dun1urkin · 08/05/2015 18:58

lucysmam what did you get??

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/05/2015 18:59

i bought Boots Natural collection mascara for my DD (nearly 13yo)
It was one of the only mascaras in brown and not a volumising/curling/mega lashes one.
She wears it to school (a tiny bit, very natural) with concealer and clear brow gel.

lucysmam · 08/05/2015 20:14

I got the Natural Collection mascara, Clearly Youthful glycolic peel mask and day serum, eye make up remover from Wilko (saw it recommended on another thread so thought I'd try it out) and the Solait sunscreen that was recommended upthread.

And I have a few quid left Grin so, when I go to Lidl next week for dd2's night time nappies, I'll be picking up some of the Cien moisturiser as well.

Quite pleased with what I got for my money...will start using it tomorrow morning (not all at once, obviously!).
