Hand cream recommendation.

I've just finished the tube of hand cream by the sink. Since my last birthday, I've gone through a tube of Laura Ashley, a tin from Joules and currently have a large tube of Soap & Glory 'hand food' by my bed. I need some recommendations for my next purchase!
It needs to be very effective, my hands get very dry and scaly, and the skin splits if I neglect my moisturising routine. However, I'm a sucker for a gorgeous fragrance and something that will look very stylish next to the sink!
Anybody care to share any miracle finds? Thanks.

Body Shop Hemp for sure.

RavioliOnToast · 04/05/2015 10:23

I second the hemp from body shop

Thanks ladies, much appreciated. Am off to have a google and possibly order one of your recommendations this morn (am not brave enough to tackle the bank holiday traffic!) as I have a couple of splits around my nails that are deepening. They're very sore! I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again. Smile

I love crabtree & evelyn ultra moisturising hand therapy in either rosewater or summer hill

Another vote for the body shop hemp.

I've tried lots of different things and my favourite is Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter, which IMHO smells nice (like Milky Bar) and is only £3.09 for 125ml so it's cheap too. A little goes a long way. Another plus for me is that it only contains 4 ingredients; olive oil, hydrogenated olive oil, vanillin, and chamomile oil (although they list more on their website for some reason). It won't look glam next to the sink but there's no reason why you couldn't transfer it into a gorgeous container of your choice.

If my cuticles are a mess I'll use a bit of Jessica Nourish which I find excellent (and again, a little goes a long way!).

My mum has started using Botanics hand cream from Boots, she suffers from cracked skin as well and thinks its great .

Another vote for Aveeno. Have tried hundreds of creams and this has sorted my cracked and dries out hands in a week!

Not in the least glam or expensive, but works on my dry hands, nivea q10 age defying anti-wrinkle hand cream, less than £4,and works a treat,

Either Palmers cocoa butter or Sephora coconut.

Jurlique hand cream is amazing. There is a rose hand cream that smells lovely but my favourite is the age-defying hand treatment. It is very pricey at £34 but really works on my sometimes super dry and cracked hands.

The Flexitol one is good for cracks, but not at all beautiful.
