I didn't like them to be honest. My first thought was elves in a pantomine. Sorry!!

NAB3 · 06/11/2006 17:27

Pray tell, why not black boots with jeans? Is that just blue jeans or a no for black jeans too?? I wore brown suede wedge boots with dark blue jeans today. Is that okay?!?!?

TheHighwayCod · 06/11/2006 17:30

No black shoes/boots with blue jeans here either. Pretty much any colour but black.

Quite like the boots - but wouldn't wear them myself

nailpolish · 07/11/2006 08:37

i think i would wear black boots with skinny black jeans probably

I like them but don't think they would suit me. What are you all on about red for though? Doesn't it say there is a choice of black or chocolate? I think you should get them np.

I wear black boots with my dark grey skinny leg jeans tucked in. Otherwise I more often wear my brown boots - they look better with jeans anyway because they are more chunky than the black ones.

Coolmama · 07/11/2006 09:05

sorry - not for me - they remind me a bit of the sort of shoe the all guys wore in The Three Muskateers.

LemonTart · 07/11/2006 09:09

not my favourite either but then I could never ever get away with skinny jeans with my thunder thighs!!
Bit concerned about my long standing fashion disaster with my lovely black boots and dark blue jeans?? Is it really a mega sin and have people been pitying my lack of fashion sense for years??
I know I need to update my wardrobe but was hoping to get away with smart black boots and a pair of trainers for this winter...I don?t have the cash to buy brown, red, green and purple boots just to avoid ridicule

squatchette · 07/11/2006 09:11

I like them think they'd look fine with jeans (skinny of course) OR a knitted jumper dress i'd wear footless tights/legginswith them too.We do seem to be heading in a bit of an eighties direction lets hope they don't bring back shoulder pads and poodle perms!

HumphreyComfreyCushion · 07/11/2006 09:14

Not keen on these boots, but I'm another of those who wore them the first time round!

HumphreyComfreyCushion · 07/11/2006 09:15

lol squatchette!

Or legwarmers!

satine · 07/11/2006 09:17

Great if you're young enough to be wearing them in an ironic retro way - sad if you had them first time around!

(Did anyone else see that thing in the paper over the weekend about thirtysomethings in Topshop - teenagers automatically avoid anything that the oldies pick up. I always expect shops like that to install airport type age detectors at the entrance - alarms sound if anyone over the age of 24 tries to enter)

expatinscotland · 07/11/2006 09:20

I was young when those were out the first time round, so they're a NO for me.

Honestly, I'm 35 and not interested in looking like a teeny-bopper.

nailpolish · 07/11/2006 10:35

expat im 33

I love them, and think if you are funky in your dress sense then go for it, wouldn't wear with jeans though, dresses and prints and patterned tights.

themoon66 · 07/11/2006 10:41

ROFL..... 'teenie bopper'!
