Pre-wedding party - what to wear?

There is no dress code on the invite, it's in a pub, in London...for drinks and dancing.
I don't know the couple, dh received the invite from one of his clients.
All I know about him is that he like's Indie music and craft beer/real ale.
So what to wear that I don't look over or under-dressed?
I'm 5ft 8in, hourglass size 12 and I don't do classic.

Any ideas?

It's not harder to fit "for your size", it's just "harder to fit".

A jumpsuit has "waist in right place" issues like a dress, and length issues like a dress, but also crotch issues.

Plain navy but looks a bit dressy anyway

I have great shoulders and upper arms but strapless is not me too bare. Yes, crotch issue could be a problem too, as well as trouser length issues...maybe jumpsuits should just remain a fantasy in my head!Grin

This one is RED and wide-legged - do you prefer wide leg or narrow leg?

I think trills, you have convinced me that I don't want to look for a jump suit, I don't buy dresses with waists because they never fit and a jumpsuit without a waist is going to be a fail.
I might order a few from John Lewis - easy pick up and returns but I don't hold out much hope. I'm sliding back to my midi skirt, will look for a lighter top. Thanks for your help!

If one DOES fit it'll be brilliant, but you might have to go and try on ten. So it depends on whether you think that sounds like fun or not...

Well I'm glad I got dh to enquire further, apparently it is their wedding day and men are expected to wear either a suit or a jacket at least - doesn't sound hipster at all, but also doesn't sound like jeans would be a good idea.
I'm so glad we asked! Grin
