wide fit shoes with narrow heel - do you like these?

hi, hoping for opinions please - have wide feet at front but narrow heels so always prefer boots or strappy shoes (high heels also a no no). Do you think these are nice?

And has anyone bought from Hotter- are they ok at returns - hate not being able to try on!
thanks

I haven't bought from them online so can't comment there.

I also have wide feet and high arches and prefer strappy shoes or boots and find summer/court shoes difficult.
Hotter is a brand that I try in my local independent shoe boutique and find comfortable but I always baulk at the styles. Granny-ish on me. Sad

Re your shoes: it depends really

If you are a terribly stylish 20-something I could see those with a lovely sleeveless shirt and slim cut trousers for the summer. Under a fit'n'flare dress on a not stylish 40-something , then, no.

I have excatly the same problem, I suspect Hotter would fit my feet but I can't bring myself to wear them. I don't hate those shoes but they could look frumpy with the wrong outfit, I wouldn't wear them myself, but I do understand the desperation to find some decent shoes that actually fit.

Hotter have excellent customer service if you buy online (although you may have to pay for returns?) but it can be a bit iffy in the stores. I've found that the store in York is excellent but the one in Nottingham is awful (staff really couldn't be bothered to help).

I have bad bunions and their shoes are the only ones that fit. I can only wear the extra, extra wide though Sad.

They charge 2.20 per order for returns which aren't exchanged, so if you want to try several sizes or styles, it's slightly more economical to do one big order on a credit card.

One of their customer service reps told me that there is supposed to be a code for free delivery and returns within the next couple of weeks or so, but couldn't give exact dates (and obv it can't be guaranteed a particular colour and size will still be in stock whenever the code is out).

Those fit a bit narrower than some of their styles. I haven't tried huge numbers of Hotter shoes but generally seem to be between the standard and the extra wide. In those heels I needed the extra wide. The size was the one I take in most standard high street shoes, but a half size up from the size I take for Hotter's flats, if that makes sense. If you haven't used them before, have a look at the width fitting charts on their site, as their idea of standard is wider than the high street.

I think they look neutral or retro, but would be wary of pairing them with anything that potentially looks a bit too old for the wearer, with unflattering skirt lengths (they're the sort of thing where an inch or two of skirt length really does make a difference) or other poorly fitting clothes. They have frump potential, but not inevitability.

They are really easy to walk in IMO. I have a pair of Clarks Chorus Tempo, which are very similar but with a heel 1in higher - the most comfortable heels of that height I've ever tried - and the Michelles are comfortable for significantly longer.

Am not by any stretch a terribly stylish 20 something :) More of a mumsy 50 something but not wanting to look grannyish either and most of the Hotter ones were very grannyish. I have the Chorus tempo in blue, ok for short walking but not for all day. I am still quite slim, would wear with shift dresses for work. Would that pass do you think?? thanks!
