Fresh/Clean smelling perfume?

yazzy85 · 20/04/2015 08:46

Any recommendations for a fresh/clean smelling perfume? I mostly wear sweet smells but wanted a change for summer.

Yazzy.... I went off all my sweet perfumes when pregnant Smile just saying!

MsAspreyDiamonds · 21/04/2015 08:58

Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford is my summer scent. It's a unisex scent so I have to hide it from my dh, he can buy his own as it's very pricey!

Escape by Calvin Klein

Simply by Clinique (sadly now discontinued)

Eau Pure by Biotherm

Tommy Girl and Tommy Girl Summer by Tommy Hilfiger

Polo by Ralph Lauren

(And a gorgeous D&G scent which I refuse to buy, name or promote given their recent offensive comments on IVF children!)

Kiehls Original Musk.

lemonhope · 21/04/2015 09:51

ditto apres l'ondee

Bulgari The Vert - lovely and fresh!

This site sells very nice perfume oils if you can't quite splash out on the real thing?

here

cressetmama · 21/04/2015 13:51

A third vote for the Maison Martin Margiela. Quite similar but less ££, is Serpentine from Comme des Garcons. Yes also to the Bulgari au The Vert (which has vanished from the UK market and must be rationed) and to all the Hermes Jardin scents.

LunacyPays · 21/04/2015 16:49

Bulgari Green Tea is lovely.

yazzy85 · 21/04/2015 17:02

Eliza22 - haha you never know, all I had before was super sweet and fruity smells now they make me sick.

Clinique HAPPY!

GatoradeMeBitch · 21/04/2015 18:59

I have Eau Dynamisante, but I don't find it a fresh clean scent really. On me it's quite spicy, it also smells masculine. I know it's a unisex fragrance, but I think it swings too much towards male. I have nearly a full bottle, so if you'd like to try it OP I'm happy to send it to you!

hollyisalovelyname · 21/04/2015 19:05

I really dislike Eau Dynamisante as well.
Again it smells very spicy on me- too masculine.

GlomOfNit · 21/04/2015 19:20

Diorissimo, always.

I really like Penhalligon's Bluebell, too, but sadly it only lasts an hour or so on me. Their Lilly of the Valley's nice too, not as green or complex as Diorissimo but still makes you think of cool green shade. And the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria mentioned above, the lime one (?) is lovely whenever I sniff it in shops.

hoedown · 21/04/2015 19:40

Bobbi Brown Bath is lovely.

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 21/04/2015 23:08

DKNY Be Delicious is my new favourite AND it's on special offer at Debenhams atm in a box set with the body lotion.

Eliza22 · 22/04/2015 07:22

On me, Eau Dynamisante is very "sweet/lemony" and I love it for summer. I also used to love Chanel 19 some 30 years ago but I think it's been changed since then (or I have!) because I don't like it "on me" now.

I used to love Gucci Envy as a fresh summer fragrance but you can't get it now. The one in the tall bottle....lovely.

lookout · 22/04/2015 12:10

Acqua di Gio, gorgeous summery scent. One of my favourites but reminds me so much of an ex-boyfriend I can't wear it anymore Sad

yazzy85 · 22/04/2015 16:03

I can't decide between Marc Jacobs Daisy and Dolce and Gabbana Dolce, they are both lovely and soft summer scents. Any opinions on either? I went to Boots and tried a lot of the recommendations but some are too strong like Clarins.

Buy them both from Perfume ParlourWink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/04/2015 16:47

I don't wear perfume really but ones I like are:

L'Occitane Verbena and Verbena Citrus
Fragonard Fleur d'Orange
4711

And anyone remember Aqua Manda (from the 70s/80s) it's been relaunched but I haven't smelled the newer one.

Abraid2 · 22/04/2015 17:05

Everythingsgonegreen I entirely agree with you re Miss Dior. It is a shame and also a bit annoyingI loved the original and people keep buying it for me, but it's the new onein the same packaging--and it doesn't work on me. Too sweet. My daughter is doing well from the confusion, but I am annoyed.

goldylookingpane · 22/04/2015 17:20

Yes to
Marc Jacobs Daisy (original or eau fraiche)
Clarins eau dynamisante or eau de Jardins (eau de jardrins isn't as strong as dynamisante, so could be seen as 'lighter'
Light Blue is good but very over-popular
Calyx Fresh in an old-school way.
Aqua di Gio You can't go wrong with this one in summer.
Happy smells a bit miserable/mean girls to me

Vicliz24 · 22/04/2015 17:40

Try the Fragonard range at M&S I use Vetiver which is really fresh . The jasmines lovely too and they do a verbena. Love this range and hugely affordable

pot39 · 22/04/2015 17:46

Chanel Cristalle my all time summer fave, been wearing it for over 20 years, always get loads of 'you smell gorgeous' comments.
Also Clarins eau thingy
And Jo Malone Red Roses, which I think is sexy, but that's because I love roses, so not clean, but still the smell of summer!

Jaeme · 23/04/2015 00:50

Lanvin - éclat d'arpege

I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it
